Neuro-optometric rehabilitation has a broad range of potential rehabilitative applications in neurological and developmental conditions affecting the eye. There is a dearth of evidence supporting its effectiveness, especially in adults. To address this issue, we systematically reviewed literature published in English between January 2000 and June 2022, obtained from search engines such as PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, and CINAHL, using keywords including "neuro optometry," "rehabilitation" or a related term, and "oculomotor problem" or "neurological problem" or a related term.

Background Laparoscopic hysterectomy is a substitute for the abdominal hysterectomy technique for endometrial carcinoma. Goel's technique is a unique laparoscopic hysterectomy. The main feature of Goel's technique is that vaginal manipulators or myoma screws are not used in the procedure as vaginal manipulators or myoma screws contribute to an increased risk of spread of malignancy in the systemic circulation.

Ewing sarcoma (ES) of the spine is a rare childhood cancer with sparse literature on treatment outcomes. We aimed to describe survival outcomes and prognostic factors in patients with spinal ES treated at a single institute in a resource-challenged setting. We conducted a retrospective analysis of patients with spinal ES registered at a tertiary care oncology center between 2003-2019.

Purpose: The del Nido cardioplegia (DC) has been extensively used in congenital heart surgery for over two decades and is becoming popular in adult cardiac surgery. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of DC, compared to conventional blood cardioplegia (BC), in adult patients undergoing isolated coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
Methods: This metachronous study included a total of 2330 consecutive patients who underwent isolated CABG.
The development of new extracorporeal blood purification (EBP) techniques has led to increased application in clinical practice but also inconsistencies in nomenclature and misunderstanding. In November 2022, an international consensus conference was held to establish consensus on the terminology of EBP therapies. It was agreed to define EBP therapies as techniques that use an extracorporeal circuit to remove and/or modulate circulating substances to achieve physiological homeostasis, including support of the function of specific organs and/or detoxification.

Introduction: Drug-induced acute kidney injury (DI-AKI) is a frequent adverse event. The identification of DI-AKI is challenged by competing etiologies, clinical heterogeneity among patients, and a lack of accurate diagnostic tools. Our research aims to describe the clinical characteristics and predictive variables of DI-AKI.

Methods: From March 2016 through March 2017, a total of 321 patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) were randomised to either the off-pump or the on-pump technique.

Heterozygous disease-causing variants in BCL11B are the basis of a rare neurodevelopmental syndrome with craniofacial and immunological involvement. Isolated craniosynostosis, without systemic or immunological findings, has been reported in one of the 17 individuals reported with this disorder till date. We report three additional individuals harboring de novo heterozygous frameshift variants, all lying in the exon 4 of BCL11B.
