Reported here is a very rare case in which the bruises were caused to the lower anterior region of the right thigh by the impact of the rim of a scooter's seat made up of a slightly flexible plastic sheet covered with artificial leather. The bruises depicted the pattern of the subjacent lower end of the femur and the upper pole of the patella. The bruises also displayed the following color changes: yellow color at the center and purple at the edge, with the fading beginning at the center and proceeding towards its periphery, which was found to be contradictory to the present literature about bruises.

Objectives: To study clinical profile of the newly emerged novel strain non-O1, O139 of Vibrio cholerae, in the region of Ambajogai, District Beed of Maharashtra.

Methods: Out of 208 patients of acute gastroenteritis, 41 revealed to be positive for Vibrio cholerae by recommended method of stool examination. All the strains were sent to National Institute of Cholera and Infectious Diseases, Calcutta for confirmation.

Seventeen relatives of patients with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy (Group A) and 6 relatives of patients with adult type of muscular dystrophy (Group B) were studied. Short PR interval on electrocardiogram and abnormal systolic time interval (STI) were consistent findings in 14 of 15 female relatives (93.35%) in group A, while these criteria were lacking in group B.
