In the current study, we have found out that Histone H3Lys4trimethylation is abnormal on YY1 in CD4T Helper (T) cells of NSCLC patients which is evident by Histone H3Lys27 trimethylation mediated via EZH2. We investigated the status of Yin Yang 1 (YY1) and the involvement of certain transcription factors that lead to tumorigenesis after depleting endogenous EZH2 in vitro by CRISPR/Cas9 in the CD4T1-or-T2-polarized cells isolated initially as CD4T0 cells from the PBMC of the control subjects and patients suffering from NSCLC.

Segmental neurofibromatosis with Lisch nodules.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is an inherited neuroectodermal abnormality that primarily affects the growth of neural tissues, and Riccardi classified it into eight types. Segmental neurofibromatosis, which is a rare form of neurofibromatosis, is classified as type 5. We report a case for very unusual presentation of segmental NF with unilateral lisch nodules and uncommon sites involving the scalp.

To drain or not to drain following thyroidectomy.: A prospective, randomized study.

Objectives: To ascertain the use of draining the thyroid bed following surgery.

Methods: Fifty four patients who underwent total thyroidectomy were enrolled in the study between March 2021 and July 2022 and randomly allocated into 2 groups - a drain group and a no drain group. The hospital stay, operating time, post operative pain, post operative complications, cosmesis, and patient's perspectives were compared.

Introduction: Irulas are known for their traditional medicine and healing practices. Ethnomedicine primarily describes the traditional medical approaches that take consideration of the cultural perspectives on health, illness, disease while addressing the delivery of healthcare and therapeutic modalities. The current study explores the ethnomedical practices towards hepatitis among the Irula traditional healers in Tamil Nadu.

This in vitro study evaluated the dentinal tubule occlusion (TO), depth of penetration (DoP), and dentin permeability (DP) of oyster shell-derived nanohydroxyapatite (os-nHAp) with and without 15% proanthocyanidin (PA) pretreatment. os-nHAp was synthesized via the precipitation method and it was characterized. The morphology and particle size of os-nHAp were analyzed using a high-resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM).

Lax skin and blurring of vision- A case report of pseudoxanthoma elasticum.

Increased laxity of the skin can be caused by aging, significant weight loss, or defects in the elastic tissue. A 38-year-old female presented with increased laxity of the skin over the neck, thighs, and abdomen for 6 years, associated with headache and blurring of vision for a week. On cutaneous examination, prominent skin folds, laxity, and wrinkles were noted over the neck, abdomen, thighs, and groin, with yellowish papules along the neck creases.

Exploring the discrimination and stigma faced by transgender in Chennai city-A community-based qualitative study.

Background: Transgender people experience widespread prejudice discrimination, violence and other harms of stigma and trans-phobia (dislike of or prejudice against trans-sexual or transgender people). To study various modes in which transgenders experience the stigma and discrimination and to understand situations and circumstances under which they are vulnerable toward stigma and discrimination.

Materials And Methods: The present study was a mixed-method study which was conducted during the months of January to June 2019 among 43 study participants.

'Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam' scheme in Tamil Nadu: an intersectionality-based analysis of access to NCD care.

There are gross inequities in access to non-communicable disease (NCD) care in India. The Indian state of Tamil Nadu recently launched the "Medicine at people's doorstep" (Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam - MTM) scheme in which screening and medications for NCDs are delivered at people's doorsteps. This is likely to improve geographical access to NCD services in the community.

Treatment of Gingival Recession Defects with Pouch and Tunnel Technique Using Connective Tissue Graft and Lyophilized Chorion Membrane in Smokers.

BACKGROUND The chorion membrane has been used for several decades as an allograft in tissue repair and various periodontal regenerative procedures. The present study, conducted at a single center in India, aimed to evaluate and compare the clinical outcomes of 26 gingival recession sites in chronic smokers treated using a pouch and tunnel technique with connective tissue graft (CTG) and lyophilized chorion membrane (LCM). MATERIAL AND METHODS The study included 22 smokers with 26 sites of recession defect, with Miller's class I and class II gingival recession, which were allotted into control and test groups.
