Sci Rep

November 2024

Department of Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, UKM, 43600, Bangi, Selangor, Malaysia.

This research explores the design of an infrared (IR) photodetector using mercury cadmium telluride (HgCdTe). It proposes two- and three-dimensional homojunction models based on p-HgCdTe/n-HgCdTe, focusing on applications in the long-wavelength infrared range. The photodetector's performance is analyzed using Silvaco ATLAS TCAD software and compared with analytical calculations based on drift-diffusion, tunneling, and Chu's approximation techniques.

The intricate dynamics of mixed convective thermic and species transport in a power-law flowing fluid through a continuously stretched surface are investigated. The uniqueness of this study lies in the consideration of fluid variable thermic conductivity and viscosity, which introduces a higher degree of realism into the analysis. The transformation of similarity is used to transform the fundamental governing equations, and after that, the set of equations is processed numerically utilizing a non-similarity local approach.

Nowadays, federated learning is one of the most prominent choices for making decisions. A significant benefit of federated learning is that, unlike deep learning, it is not necessary to share data samples with the model owner. The weight of the global model in traditional federated learning is created by averaging the weights of all clients or sites.
