Apexification is the process of forming mineralized tissue at the apical portion of a tooth with an incompletely formed root. Although various materials and techniques for the endodontic treatment of such teeth have been employed for some time, selecting the appropriate material remains challenging due to limited literature. This report presents a case that evaluates the efficacy of a modified apexification procedure using mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), followed by a walking-bleach technique to address discoloration resulting from trauma to anterior teeth.

The fabrication of p-n heterostructures was found to be an effective strategy to stimulate the interfacial exciton shipment and photocatalytic reactions. Herein, we report a p-n junction synthesized by combining p-type boron-doped reduced graphene oxide (B-rGO) with an n-type ZnFeO semiconducting material for Cr(vi) reduction under LED light irradiation. The band structures of ZnFeO and B-rGO were evaluated using UV-vis spectroscopy, Mott-Schottky (M-S) plots and photocurrent studies.

The influence of tourism development and economic policy uncertainties on environmental sustainability is substantial. Promoting responsible tourism and using sustainable tourism practises, like offering eco-friendly lodging, is a key part of protecting natural habitats and lowering carbon footprints. Hence, this study tries to examine the relationship between tourism development, economic policy uncertainty, renewable energy, and natural resources on the ecological footprint of India during 1990-2022.

Background: Accurate and non-invasive estimation of MGMT promoter methylation status in glioblastoma (GBM) patients is of paramount clinical importance, as it is a predictive biomarker associated with improved overall survival (OS). In response to the clinical need, recent studies have focused on the development of non-invasive artificial intelligence (AI)-based methods for MGMT estimation. In this systematic review, we not only delve into the technical aspects of these AI-driven MGMT estimation methods but also emphasize their profound clinical implications.

Integration of genomic approaches like whole genome sequencing, functional genomics, evolutionary genomics, and CRISPR/Cas9-based genome editing has accelerated the improvement of crop plants including leafy vegetables like celery in the face of climate change. The anthropogenic climate change is a real peril to the existence of life forms on our planet, including human and plant life. Climate change is predicted to be a significant threat to biodiversity and food security in the coming decades and is rapidly transforming global farming systems.

Introduction: Sheath blight caused by is one of the major diseases of rice, causing widespread crop losses. The use of semi-dwarf rice varieties in the ongoing nutrient-intensive rice cultivation system has further accentuated the incidence of the disease. An ideal solution to this problem would be identifying a stable sheath blight-tolerant genotype.

The Internet of Things (IOT)-based smart farming promises ultrafast speeds and near real-time response. Precision farming enabled by the Internet of Things has the potential to boost efficiency and output while reducing water use. Therefore, IoT devices can aid farmers in keeping track crop health and development while also automating a variety of tasks (such as moisture level prediction, irrigation system, crop development, and nutrient levels).

Article Synopsis
  • Endodontics faces challenges in treating young necrotic permanent teeth, but regenerative endodontic procedures (REPs) can promote root growth and closure.
  • A clinical study over 2 years involved 30 patients with immature necrotic teeth treated using a standard REP protocol, with assessments at regular follow-ups, including radiographic evaluations.
  • Results showed high survival and clinical success rates, with significant improvements in root thickness and length, as well as apical closure in some cases, although not all patients experienced meaningful changes.

The effects of global warming and climate change are happening at a faster rate than expected, and they are going to get worse. Global climate change has already started to show the effects on environment-fast melting glaciers, accelerated sea level rise and base shifting of native flora and fauna. There has been an increase in temperature globally with a few countries already showing intense heat waves and extreme cold temperatures.

Department of Anaesthesiology, IMS & SUM Hospital, SOA deemed to be University, Kalinganagar, Bhubaneswar-751003, Odisha, India.

Crouzon syndrome is a rare genetic disorder involving craniofacial skeleton development. It's characterized by a triad of cranial deformities: premature craniosynostosis, facial anomalies (mid-facial hypoplasia), and exophthalmia. The anaesthetic management challenges include the presence of a difficult airway, history of obstructive sleep apnea, congenital cardiac disorders, hypothermia, blood loss, and venous air embolism.

Background: The O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) is a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) repairing enzyme that has been established as an essential clinical brain tumor biomarker for Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM). Knowing the status of MGMT methylation biomarkers using multi-parametric MRI (mp-MRI) helps neuro-oncologists to analyze GBM and its treatment plan.

Method: The hand-crafted radiomics feature extraction of GBM's subregions, such as edema(ED), tumor core (TC), and enhancing tumor (ET) in the machine learning (ML) framework, was investigated using support vector machine(SVM), K-Nearest Neighbours (KNN), random forest (RF), LightGBM, and extreme gradient boosting (XGB).

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a standard tool for the diagnosis of stroke, but its manual interpretation by experts is arduous and time-consuming. Thus, there is a need for computer-aided-diagnosis (CAD) models for the automatic segmentation and classification of stroke on brain MRI. The heterogeneity of stroke pathogenesis, morphology, image acquisition modalities, sequences, and intralesional tissue signal intensity, as well as lesion-to-normal tissue contrast, pose significant challenges to the development of such systems.

BLAST, a basic bioinformatics tool for searching local sequence similarity, has been one of the most widely used bioinformatics programs since its introduction in 1990. Users generally use the web-based NCBI-BLAST program for BLAST analysis. However, users with large sequence data are often faced with a problem of upload size limitation while using the web-based BLAST program.
