Introduction: Self-insertion of foreign objects in teeth is a common occurrence in children facing dental problems in an attempt to alleviate irritation, drainage, or other symptoms from teeth. However, this could lead to the development of infection and may worsen the condition if not intervened at an early stage. The removal of such objects and the preservation of involved teeth pose a challenge and, in some cases, the tooth must be extracted to resolve the infection.

Introduction: Periodontitis is a progressive disease of microbial origin involving the loss of supporting tissues of the teeth resulting from host inflammatory and immunologic reactions. The standard approach to the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases for a number of years has been mechanical therapy and if required surgical intervention Researcher thought of creating a treatment modality where by altering the host response, the destructive host mechanisms could be interfered affecting the final outcome of the disease process.
Aim: The present study aims to explore the efficacy of local delivery of a 1% Alendronate (ALN) gel as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP) for the treatment of infrabony periodontal pockets in smokers and non-smoker with Chronic Periodontitis.

Background: The overall success of dental implants depends on the crestal bone support around the implants. During the initial years of dental implant placement, the bone loss around the implants determines the success rate of treatment. Platform switching (PLS) concept preserves the crestal bone loss, and this approach should be applied clinically for the overall success of dental implants.
