Ameloblastoma is a locally invasive odontogenic tumor of the jaw. It can advance to large size resulting in facial deformity, loose teeth, and in severe cases pathologic fracture of the jaws. As ameloblastoma shows local invasiveness and tendency for recurrence, radical surgery which includes marginal resection or segmental resection are preferred.

Autogenous reconstruction of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) with costochondral graft (CCG) has been a popular method of growth center transfer in children. However, unpredictable growth pattern of CCG has been reported in children that often leads to dentofacial deformities in future. This institutional study describes the results of mandibular reconstruction with CCG in two growing children, one with plexiform ameloblastoma of mandible and the other with unilateral TMJ ankylosis.

Cisplatin, 5FU and docetaxel (TPF) are the most common chemotherapy regimen used for advanced OSCC. However, many cancer patients experience relapse, continued tumor growth, and spread due to drug resistance, which leads to treatment failure and metastatic disease. Here, using a CRISPR/Cas9 based kinome knockout screening, Misshapen-like kinase 1 (MINK1) is identified as an important mediator of 5FU resistance in OSCC.

Background: Collagen membrane and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) have emerged as vital biomaterials in the field of periodontal regeneration. Minimally invasive techniques are being preferred by most periodontists, as it is patient compliant with fewer post-surgical complications as compared to conventional surgical techniques. Thus, in this study we have evaluated the effect of injectable PRF (i-PRF) with collagen membrane compared with collagen membrane alone using vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique for gingival recession coverage.

Background: Periodontal and peri-implant disorders are etiologically linked to bacterial biofilms. The researchers wanted to see how well the erbium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Er:YAG) laser removed bacterial biofilms along with attached epithelial cells (EC), gingival fibroblasts (GF), in addition to osteoblast-like cells (OC) dentin along with titanium surfaces compared to previous therapy methods.
Methodology: 3.

Objective: The goal of this systematic review was to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Casein Phosphopeptide Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP) remineralizing potential to that of other remineralizing treatments and placebo in both naturally occurring and postorthodontic white spot lesions (WSL) .
Materials And Methods: From 2005 to 2020, the literature search used electronic databases PubMed, Embase, Science Direct, and Google Scholar to find studies published solely in English and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) employing CPP-ACP as an intervention. All eligible studies were reviewed by two independent reviewers.

Background: The instrumentation technique which produces least amount of apically extruded debris is desirable to use in biomechanical preparation of root canal.
Aim: To quantitatively evaluate apically extruded debris during instrumentation with hand K-file, ProTaper Next, and WaveOne.
Materials And Methods: Forty-five extracted human single-rooted mandibular premolars with straight, single canal and single apical foramen were selected after radiographic evaluation and divided equally into three groups.

Background: Sex determination from unidentified skeletal remains a daunting task in forensic odontology. The mandible is the strongest and most durable of bones available for post-mortem profiling and its morphometric characteristics have been investigated. Less explored is the location of the mandibular canal which in a few populations has shown gender dimorphism.

Background: Gingival recession leads to root surface exposure devoid of periodontal attachment. Recession defects with interdental attachment loss (RT2, RT3), further increase the avascular area which is critical for survival of soft-tissue grafts. Nonsubmerged grafts such as free gingival grafts and gingival unit grafts (GUGs) rely primarily on plasmatic circulation from the recipient area during the initial stages of healing for its survival.

A lot of modalities for assessing implant stability are available for clinicians, but they fail to assess trabecular changes as they are solely dependent on the operator's skills. The use of Fractal Dimension (FD) has evolved to be used as a measure for trabecular changes depicting implant stability before and after implant placement. The objective of this systematic review was to qualitatively analyse the available scientific literature describing the use of FD as a tool to measure implant stability on the basis of trabecular changes.

Facial degloving injuries are due to separation between the skin and subcutaneous tissues from the underlying muscles, bones, and fascia. These injuries often create a reconstructive challenge for surgeons especially when there are associated complications like wound infection or necrosis of the avulsed flap. This case report presents management of a case of facial degloving injury with full thickness necrosis of the avulsed flap.

Aim: The study aimed to longitudinally evaluate the efficacy of gingival unit grafts (GUGs), a modification of free gingival grafts, in the management of Miller's class I and class II recession defects in mandibular anterior region, over a period of 18 months.
Materials And Methods: 17 subjects with 21 recession defects in mandibular anterior region were treated using GUG. Clinical parameters of recession depth (RD), clinical attachment levels (CALs), and keratinized tissue width (KTW) were recorded at baseline, 1, 6, and 18 months.

Over the years, chemotherapy (CT) has evolved as an essential therapeutic modality for cancer, with oral manifestations frequently encountered as complications of cancer CT. Our study aimed to assess the prevalence of oral complications during CT and evaluate the significance of independent risk factors (age, gender, socio-economic status, oral hygiene practices etc). A cross-sectional study was carried out in a tertiary cancer hospital in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, in which a total of 138 hospitalized patients undergoing CT and fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included.

Background: The invasive tumor front (ITF) of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and the reactive changes in regional lymph nodes (RLNs) are believed to carry integral prognostic information about the tumor's invasive capacity and insight into host immune response, respectively.
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the reactivity patterns of RLNs in relation to the tumor stage, grade and various histopathological parameters at the ITF of primary tumor, in an attempt to elucidate the nature of host-immune response to tumor.
Materials And Methods: Pattern of invasion (POI) using Bryne's criteria, peritumoral inflammation, and status of connective tissue (CT) stroma of 50 OSCC cases, that underwent selective neck dissection were assessed at the ITF.
