In subjects with type 1 diabetes (T1D) relationship of C-peptide levels and neuropathy has been observed in several studies, however, there are very few studies in type 2 diabetes (T2D) subjects. In this study we aim to assess the association of C-peptide levels with peripheral neuropathy in Indian subjects with T2D.

Comparison of intranasal and nebulized dexmedetomidine for premedication in pediatric patients: A non-inferiority randomized controlled trial.

A Clinico-Pathological Study of Allergic Fungal Rhinosinusitis at a Tertiary Care Center of Western Rajasthan.

Allergic fungal rhinosinusitis (AFRS) is a non-invasive fungal sinusitis resulting from an immunologic response to the presence of extra mucosal fungal hyphae in the sinuses. Here we studied clinicopathological characteristics of AFRS among patients of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis who underwent Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) at a tertiary care in western Rajasthan. Standard ethical protocol was followed for the present study.

Schwannoma of the Nasal Septum: A Rare Clinicopathological Case Report in an 18-Year-Old Female.

Schwannoma, a benign tumor, arise from schwann cells of myelin sheath; occur anywhere in the body but commonly occur on flexor aspect of extremities. Nasal septum being the rarer site. We report a case of nasal septum schwannoma in an 18-year-old female presented with intermittent epistaxis and progressively increasing nasal obstruction for 2-year duration.

Background: Surgical intervention has been shown to have good post-operative outcomes in patients with chronic pancreatitis with pain refractory to oral analgesics. We present our initial experience with robotic lateral pancreaticojejunostomy (LPJ) and modified Frey's procedure (MFP).

Pacemaker lead in lung, a rare case.

Pacemaker lead perforation is a rare complication of pacemaker device implantation. We report a case where a ventricular lead perforated through right ventricle, pericardium and went into left lung parenchyma without the development of pericardial effusion, cardiac tamponade, pleural effusion, pneumo or hemo thorax. Patient presented with complaints solely related to failure of pacing rather than disastrous or life threating complications.

Left-Sided Colonic Tuberculosis Presenting as Colonic Stricture: A Rare Presentation of a Common Disease.

Gastrointestinal tuberculosis (TB) mainly presents as an ileocecal disease, and colonic TB is more often seen with terminal ileal involvement. Isolated involvement of the descending colon by TB is uncommon and usually presents with chronic colitis. An acute presentation as intestinal obstruction because of tubercular stricture of the descending colon has not been reported.

To conduct a comparative, nonrandomized study to assess the feasibility of mini-Endoscopic Combined Intrarenal Surgery (ECIRS) using supine Mini-percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) access (16F) in Galdakao-Modified Supine Valdivia position for managing proximal large-volume impacted ureteral calculi as ambulatory day-care surgery vis-a-vis standalone ureteroscopy (URS) with push-back PCNL, if needed. The primary aim was to study the outcomes and stone-free rates (SFRs). Secondary aim was to compare the intraoperative and short-term postoperative complications.

COVID-19 has caused tectonic changes in the personal and professional lives of anesthesiologists and, among several aspects, anesthesiology residency and sub-specialty training has also undergone an unforeseen overhaul. We read the articles published on the impact of COVID-19 on training of anesthesiologists and set out to extract and narrate all the significant observations. At the outset, we begin by explaining how this pandemic posed a threat to the safety of the residents and mitigating measures like PPE and barriers that have now become 'the new normal'.
