In order to study regional faunas, one or two methods of studying Coleoptera are often used. However, a comparison of several ways of studying shows that it is more expedient to use more than one of them. Six different methods of catching Coleoptera used in studies of the biodiversity of regional faunas were compared.

Grasses (Poaceae) produce large amounts of pollen and are among the main causes of pollinosis worldwide. Despite their morphological similarity, pollen grains of different grass species may have different allergenicities. Therefore, quantification of the roles of individual species in airborne pollen is an important task.

(1) Objective: The aim of this study was to observe the lipid-lowering effects of blood flow restriction training (BFR) combined with moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) in obese college students by observing lipid-lowering hormones and untargeted metabolomics. (2) Methods: In this study, 14 obese college students were convened into three groups-MICT, MICT+BFR, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT)-for a crossover experiment. Blood was drawn before and after exercise for the analysis of lipolytic agents and untargeted metabolomics.

We consider the operation of a digital linear ion trap with resonance radial ejection and mass selective instability modes. Periodic wave shape has a positive part with amplitude and duration and negative part with amplitude and duration , where is the period. The mapping of the stability diagram, calculations of the well's depth and ion oscillations spectra are presented.

Upper Cretaceous coastal marine deposits are widespread in the Southern Urals with a number of marine vertebrates previously reported from this region. However, previous studies on the vertebrate faunas in this region often lack detailed taxonomic descriptions and illustrations, rendering comparisons to other faunal assemblages difficult. A new diverse vertebrate assemblage comprising cartilaginous and bony fishes, as well as marine reptiles, is described here from the Orenburg region near Akkermanovka (Southern Urals, Russia).

The pathogenicity of many bacteria, including and , depends on pore-forming toxins (PFTs), which cause the lysis of host cells by forming pores in the membranes of eukaryotic cells. Bioinformatic analysis revealed a region homologous to the Lys171-Gly250 sequence in hemolysin II (HlyII) from in over 600 PFTs, which we designated as a "homologous peptide". Three β-barrel PFTs were used for a detailed comparative analysis.

We consider the operation of a digital linear ion trap with resonant radial ejection. A sequence of rectangular voltage pulses with a dipole resonance signal is applied to the trap electrodes. The periodic waveform is piecewise constant, has zero mean, and is determined by an asymmetry parameter : one value is taken on interval and another on , where is the RF period.

Background: Eating disorders (ED) are severe, chronic, and complex in nature mental illnesses that are difficult to treat. One of the ways to stave off EDs is by screening among adolescents to preempt the development of clinical forms of ED in risk groups.
Aim: 1) to investigate the prevalence of ED risk among adolescent girls and compare subgroups at high and low risk of ED; 2) to investigate using a multidimensional approach those variables that can interact with temperament and character traits to predict ED symptomatology.

A series of easy-to-prepare and modular chiral ,-bidentate phosphoramidites were synthesized. With respect to Pd(II), these ligands showed the ability to form stable ,-chelate allylic complexes. The structures of the ligands and their complexes were confirmed by 2D NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.

The problem of modeling the mass peak shape of a quadrupole mass filter (QMF) with round rods is considered. A number of factors leading to the degradation of the mass peak shape are studied, namely, displacement of the electrodes with respect to their original position, changes in the diameter of the electrodes, and asymmetry of the supply potentials. Decomposition of the rod set field on multipole fields allows to obtain an analytical representation of the ion motion equations.

Alkene planar chirality is introduced in the 'privileged' P-alkene phosphoramidite ligand 1. The resulting diastereomeric ligands (p)-5 and (p)-5 form optically pure complexes of Rh(I) and Pd(II), which catalyze conjugate additions of boron C-nucleophiles to enones and allylic alkylations, respectively. In the Rh-catalyzed reaction, the planar chirality of the alkene exerts absolute enantiocontrol over the potent BINOL auxiliary.

In the development of commercial quadrupole mass spectrometers, there is an interest in improving the performance characteristics such as transmission, resolution, and mass range. In particular, parametric and dipolar resonance excitation of trapping ions are used for linear quadrupole mass filters. Theoretical methods and numerical simulation of ion trajectories were applied for study of ion-optical properties.

Grass pollen is one of the leading causes of pollinosis, affecting 10-30% of the world's population. The allergenicity of pollen from different Poaceae species is not the same and is estimated from moderate to high. Aerobiological monitoring is a standard method that allows one to track and predict the dynamics of allergen concentration in the air.

Ion trajectory numerical simulation is used to find the linear ion trap excitation contour in the second stability region. The effects of initial conditions, the ejection Mathieu parameter, scan speed, dipole excitation voltage and gas damping are studied. Modeling shows that in the stability region center the resolution power is (at full width half height of a peak, FWHM) at pressure 0.

Grasses produce large amounts of pollen and are among the main causes of pollen allergy worldwide. Quantification of the roles of individual grass species in airborne pollen is an important task, because morphologically indistinguishable pollen grains of different species may differ in allergenicity. This requires knowledge of the pollen production of individual grass species; however, accumulated data are insufficient in this respect.

Two groups of modular chiral diamidophosphite ligands were easily synthesised from accessible N-Boc-amino alcohols and pseudodipeptides. The reaction of these compounds with [Pd(allyl)Cl] in the presence of AgBF yielded complexes [Pd(allyl)(L)]BF. In addition, metallochelates [Pd(allyl)(L)]BF with (S)-methioninol-based P,S-bidentate ligands were prepared.

Quadrupole mass filters are normally operated as narrow band pass filters by appropriate choices of rf and DC voltages corresponding to Mathieu and values near the apex of the first stability region. We add an auxiliary quadrupole excitation potential to the main drive voltage. As a result, stability islands appear on the () plane.

A straightforward synthesis of P-chiral polycyclic phosphines by an asymmetric Diels-Alder reaction of 1-alkyl-1,2-diphospholes and (5R)-(l-menthyloxy)-2(5H)-furanone (MOxF) is presented. The [4 + 2] cycloaddition reaction of 1,2-diphospholes 1-3 with MOxF (4) proceeded with high diastereoselectivity (de up to 90%) resulting in the corresponding enantiopure anti-endo-1,7-diphosphanorbornenes 5a-7a. The absolute configuration of 5-7 was proved by a variety of 1D/2D NMR correlation methods.

Rationale: For mass analysis, a quadrupole mass filter (QMF) usually operates at the upper tip of the first stability region. We introduce a new mode of QMF operation with dipole direct current (dc) and with auxiliary quadrupole excitation. Before experimental investigation of this mode, we have carried out numerical simulations of this process.
