The task of reducing the amount of material required to manufacture a product without significant loss of mechanical properties is one of the most practically important technological tasks. Material saving in FDM printing of products allows to reduce financial costs and increase the speed of manufacturing of the final product without reducing (or not significantly reducing) the quality properties of the product.

Introduction: The mechanisms of the SARS-CoV-2-triggered complex alterations in immune cell activation and production of cytokines in lung tissue remain poorly understood, in part because of the limited use of adequate tissue models that simulate the structure and cell composition of the lung . We developed a novel model of SARS-CoV-2 infection of lung explants, that maintains the intact tissue composition and the viral load for up to 7-10 days. Using this model, we studied cytokine production during SARS-CoV-2 infection.

The process of stone formation in the human body remains incompletely understood, which requires clinical and laboratory studies and the formulation of a new endogenous, nanotechnological concept of the mechanism of origin and formation of crystallization centers. Previously, the mechanism of sialolithiasis was considered a congenital disease associated with the pathology of the ducts in the structure of the glands themselves. To date, such morphological changes of congenital nature can be considered from the position of the intrauterine formation of endogenous bacterial infections complicated by the migration of antigenic structures initiating the formation of crystallization centers.

In this study, we evaluated the ability of the synthetic amphipathic helical peptide (SAHP), L-37pA, which mediates pathogen recognition and innate immune responses, to treat acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) accompanied by diffuse alveolar damage (DAD) and chronic pulmonary fibrosis (PF). For the modeling of ARDS/DAD, male ICR mice were used. Intrabronchial instillation (IB) of 200 µL of inflammatory agents was performed by an intravenous catheter 20 G into the left lung lobe only, leaving the right lobe unaffected.

The objective of the study was to evaluate the profile and diagnostic significance of serum autoantibodies in infertile patients with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). The pilot study included 26 patients of reproductive age with POI and diminished ovarian reserve who received complex treatment using new surgical technologies (Group 1) and 18 patients without POI (Group 2). The profile of serum autoantibodies, including anti-ovarian antibodies, antibodies against thyroid peroxidase (TPO), steroidogenic enzymes, and steroid and gonadotropic hormones, was studied using modified ELISAs and human recombinant steroidogenic enzymes (CYP11A1, CYP19A1, CYP21A2).

Materials And Methods: Experimental animals (=10, a miniature pig of the Svetlogorsk breed) were divided into 2 groups of 5 animals. Groups 1 and 2 were injected with amoxicillin 2 ml per 20 kg of body weight 30 minutes before dental implantation surgery, then group 2 was additionally injected with 1 ml per 20 kg of body weight for 5 days.

Myelin basic protein (MBP) is the second most abundant protein in the central nervous system and is responsible for structural maintenance of the myelin sheath covering axons. Previously, we showed that MBP has a more proactive role in the oligodendrocyte homeostasis, interacting with membrane-associated proteins, including integral membrane protein 2B (ITM2B or Bri2) that is associated with familial dementias. Here, we report that the molecular dynamics of the in silico-generated MBP-Bri2 complex revealed that MBP covers a significant portion of the Bri2 ectodomain, assumingly trapping the furin cleavage site, while the surface of the BRICHOS domain, which is responsible for the multimerization and activation of the Bri2 high-molecular-weight oligomer chaperone function, remains unmasked.

Background: Accurate and user-friendly assessment tools for quantifying alcohol consumption are a prerequisite for effective interventions to reduce alcohol-related harm. Digital assessment tools (DATs) that allow the description of consumed alcoholic drinks through animation features may facilitate more accurate reporting than conventional approaches.
Objective: This review aims to identify and characterize freely available DATs in English or Russian that use animation features to support the quantitative assessment of alcohol consumption (alcohol DATs) and determine the extent to which such tools have been scientifically evaluated in terms of feasibility, acceptability, and validity.

Objective: Evaluation of the effectiveness and safety of the drug PPR-001 (lyophilizate) in comparison with placebo in men with impaired spermatogenesis.
Materials And Methods: This study was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, prospective, multicenter, parallel-group research.
Results: It was found that the drug has clinical efficacy and a positive effect on the concentration of spermatozoa in the ejaculate, the percentage of progressively mobile forms and the number of morphologically normal forms of spermatozoa was increased in the group of PPR-001.

Objective: To validate a Russian-language version of the World Health Organization's Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT).
Methods: We invited 2173 patients from 21 rural and urban primary health-care centres in nine Russian regions to participate in the study (143 declined and eight were excluded). In a standardized interview, patients who had consumed alcohol in the past 12 months provided information on their sociodemographic characteristics and completed the Russian AUDIT, the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale and the Composite International Diagnostic Interview to identify problem drinking and alcohol use disorders.

Extracellular circulating microRNAs (miRNAs) are currently a focus of interest as non-invasive biomarkers of cardiovascular pathologies, including coronary artery disease (CAD) and acute coronary syndromes (ACS): myocardial infarction with and without ST-segment elevation (STEMI and NSTEMI) and unstable angina (UA). However, the current data for some miRNAs are controversial and inconsistent, probably due to pre-analytical and methodological variances in different studies. In this work, we fulfilled the basic pre-analytical requirements provided for circulating miRNA studies for application to stable CAD and ACS research.
