To study the epidemiological characteristics of chronic tonsillitis (ChT), the need for patients to undergo conservative and surgical treatment, and a comparative assessment of the effectiveness of conservative treatment of patients with chronic tonsillitis using Tonsilotren as monotherapy and in complex treatment. An acidic shift in the pH profile of zearalenone hydrolase (ZHD), the most effective and well-studied zearalenone-specific lactone hydrolase, is required to extend the range of applications for the enzyme as a decontamination agent in the feed and food production industries. Amino acid substitutions were engineered in the active center of the enzyme to decrease the pKa values of the catalytic residues E126 and H242. The T216K substitution provided a shift in the pH optimum by one unit to the acidic region, accompanied by a notable expansion in the pH profile under acidic conditions.

In this study, we explore the charge transfer mechanism between WO and CuO in heterostructured WO/CuO electrodes and in a WO||CuO tandem photoelectrochemical cell. The physical-chemical characterizations of the individual WO and CuO electrodes and the heterostructured WO/CuO electrode by XRD, XPS, and SEM methods confirm the successful formation of the target systems. The results of photoelectrochemical studies infer that in both the heterostructured WO/CuO electrode and WO||CuO tandem photoelectrochemical cell, the major mechanism of charge transfer between WO and CuO is a realization of the Z-scheme.

This study addresses issues in developing spatially controlled magnetic fields for particle guidance, synthesizing biocompatible and chemically stable MNPs and enhancing their specificity to pathological cells through chemical modifications, developing personalized adjustments, and highlighting the potential of tumor-on-a-chip systems, which can simulate tissue environments and assess drug efficacy and dosage in a controlled setting. The research focused on two MNP types, uncoated magnetite nanoparticles (mMNPs) and carboxymethyl dextran coated superparamagnetic nanoparticles (CD-SPIONs), and evaluated their transport properties in microfluidic systems and porous media. The original uncoated mMNPs of bimodal size distribution and the narrow size distribution of the fractions (23 nm and 106 nm by radii) were demonstrated to agglomerate in magnetically driven microfluidic flow, forming a stable stationary web consisting of magnetic fibers within 30 min.
