Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates how small intestinal mesenteric lymphoid tissues affect mixed lymphocyte reactions involving dendritic cells (DC) and peripheral blood monocytes (PBMC).
  • The results show that DCs respond more effectively than PBMCs to stimulation from mesenteric lymphoid tissue, leading to increased cell proliferation and higher expression of MHC molecules.
  • These findings indicate that small intestinal mesenteric lymphoid tissue has strong antigen-presenting capabilities, enhancing the immunological role of DCs.
