Background: Vulnerable plaque was associated with recurrent cardiovascular events. This study was designed to explore predictive biomarkers of vulnerable plaque in patients with coronary artery disease.
Methods: To reveal the phenotype-associated cell type in the development of vulnerable plaque and to identify hub gene for pathological process, we combined single-cell RNA and bulk RNA sequencing datasets of human atherosclerotic plaques using Single-Cell Identification of Subpopulations with Bulk Sample Phenotype Correlation (Scissor) and Weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA).

Background This study aimed to explore predictive biomarkers of coronary collateralization in patients with chronic total occlusion. Methods and Results By using a microarray expression profiling program downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus database, weighted gene coexpression network analysis was constructed to analyze the relationship between potential modules and coronary collateralization and screen out the hub genes. Then, the hub gene was identified and validated in an independent cohort of patients (including 299 patients with good arteriogenic responders and 223 patients with poor arteriogenic responders).

Background: The risk/benefit tradeoff of dual antiplatelet therapy after percutaneous coronary intervention may vary in East Asian patients as compared with their non-East Asian counterparts.
Methods: The double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized TWILIGHT trial (Ticagrelor With Aspirin or Alone in High-Risk Patients After Coronary Intervention) enrolled patients undergoing high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention. After 3 months of treatment with ticagrelor plus aspirin, event-free and adherent patients remained on ticagrelor and were randomly assigned to receive aspirin or placebo for 1 year.

Background: Glecaprevir-pibrentasvir results in high rates of sustained virological response in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1-6 infection. Data for glecaprevir-pibrentasvir in non-Japanese Asian patients have been minimal. The aim of these studies was to assess the efficacy and safety of glecaprevir-pibrentasvir in treatment-naive and treatment-experienced Asian patients with chronic HCV genotype 1-6 infection without cirrhosis (VOYAGE-1) and with compensated cirrhosis (VOYAGE-2).

Severe patients with coronaviras disease 2019 (COVID-19) are characterized by persistent lung damage, causing respiratory failure, secondary circulatory changes and multiple organ dysfunction after virus invasion. Because of its dynamic, real-time, non-invasive, repeatable and other advantages, critical ultrasonography can be widely used in the diagnosis, assessment and guidance of treatment for severe patients. Based on the recommendations of critical care experts from all over the country who fight against the epidemic in Wuhan, this article summarizes the guidelines for the treatment of COVID-19 based on critical ultrasonography, hoping to provide help for the treatment of severe patients.

Objective: To explore the relationship between inflammation, oxidative stress and poor myocardial perfusion in patients with acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Background: Risk factors and mechanisms of poor reperfusion in patients with STEMI after primary PCI remain unclear.
Methods: A total of 143 patients who underwent primary PCI after STEMI were divided into good and poor perfusion groups according to sum-ST-segment resolution (sumSTR) and TIMI myocardial perfusion grade (TMP) results.
