Background: There is considerable practice variation in labelling, diagnosis and treatment of adults with sterile bone inflammation. We developed a expert consensus recommendations on the disease definition, diagnosis and treatment of this rare condition.

Methods: Systematic literature review and Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development and Evaluations-based appraisal of evidence, two Delphi surveys and three digital and in-person consensus meetings with a multidisciplinary expert panel and patient representatives.

Aims: Right ventricular reverse remodelling (RVRR) is linked to improved survival in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR) and right-sided heart failure who underwent interventional treatment. However, the role of residual TR on RVRR remains unclear. In this analysis the impact of residual TR on RVRR after interventional TR treatment, which was validated by two independent cohorts at four sites using echocardiography or cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, was investigated.

Nanoconfined water exhibits astonishing properties that offer new opportunities in physics, biology and technology like energy-storage applications. Here we study such nanoconfined water using molecular dynamics simulations to elucidate the structure and dynamics of water monolayers in graphene-based slit pores. The significant population of dangling (or free) O-H bonds pointing toward the two confining walls, leads to topological frustration in the hydrogen bond network.

Scaling up electrochemical CO reduction: enhancing the performance of metalloporphyrin complexes in zero-gap electrolyzers.

Metalloporphyrins are widely studied in the field of electrochemical CO reduction (COR), with the main focus on homogenous catalysis. Herein, six metalloporphyrins (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Ag) were incorporated in gas diffusion electrodes and used in zero-gap electrolyzers to reach varying FEs for CO of <1% (Fe,Ni), 11% (Cu), 37% (Zn), 75% (Co) and nearly 100% (Ag) at a current density of 50 mA cm.

RWI-GEO-VOTE: Small-scale data of the 2017 German federal election.

The RWI-GEO-VOTE dataset was collected to understand how the refugee inflows affected the vote share of parties in the 2017 German federal election. The dataset provides granular insights into the 2017 German federal election at the 1 km x 1 km grid cell level. Compiled by the Research Data Center (FDZ) Ruhr at RWI, it covers 175,758 grid cells and provides data on valid votes for all parties that could be elected.

The effect of positive mental imagery versus positive verbal thoughts on anhedonia.

Anhedonia, the loss of interest in and pleasure from previously enjoyable activities is a core symptom of depression and presents a major challenge to treatments. Interventions involving positive mental imagery generation have been suggested to reduce anhedonia. However, it is not clear whether the imagery component of such interventions is crucial for these effects.

[Ethical challenges of telepsychiatry].

Telepsychiatry is shifting the focus of psychiatry and psychotherapy from personal interaction and relationship building to communication with technological mediators in the form of telecommunication, virtual reality (VR), social robots or artificial intelligence (AI). This article discusses the opportunities and risks of new technologies in psychiatric treatment, taking into account the principles of medical ethics. Telepsychiatric treatments can promote self-determination in the home environment as opposed to institutionalisation but carry the risk of uncontrolled data sharing.

[Measurement of disease-related knowledge of patients with axial spondyloarthritis-Development and application of the G-ASKQ7 questionnaire].

Background And Objective: Patient education is an integral component of the treatment of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). However, the validated tools currently available for assessing disease-related knowledge are outdated and, in the case of axSpA, only available in English. Background: Up to the early 2000s the need for optimization in the treatment of acute pain in hospitals was highlighted. Only a few successes were achieved in the optimization process. As the acute pain care in Germany remained persistently unsatisfactory, the first health services research projects in pain medicine were initiated.

Background: Information on symptomatic therapy (ST) use in women of childbearing age with multiple sclerosis is sparse, and data on the impact of ST pregnancy exposure on pregnancy outcome are lacking.

A promising route towards the deterministic creation and annihilation of single-phonons is to couple a single-photon emitter to a mechanical resonator. The challenge lies in reaching the resolved-sideband regime with a large coupling rate and a high mechanical quality factor. Synapses learn to utilize stochastic pre-synaptic release for the prediction of postsynaptic dynamics.

Synapses in the brain are highly noisy, which leads to a large trial-by-trial variability. Given how costly synapses are in terms of energy consumption these high levels of noise are surprising. Here we propose that synapses use noise to represent uncertainties about the somatic activity of the postsynaptic neuron.
