To measure the life quality, clinical-functional outcomes of a patient who had undergone acute reconstruction of radio scapho capitate (RSC), radio lunate (RLL) ligaments, using brachiorradialis tendon in treatment of radiocarpal fracture dislocation. 21-years-old, man with radiocarpal fracture dislocation in his left wrist, after motorcycle accident. Percutaneous screw fixation of the distal radius and acute reconstruction of the RSC and RLL was performed, assisted by arthroscopy.

Magnesium and its alloys represent promising candidates for biomedical implants due to their biodegradability and mechanical properties, which are similar to natural bone. However, their rapid degradation process characterized by dynamic pH fluctuations and significant hydrogen gas evolution during biocorrosion adversely affects both in vitro and in vivo assessments. While the ISO 10993-5 and 12 standards provide guidelines for evaluating the in vitro biocompatibility of biodegradable materials, they also introduce testing variability conditions that yield inconsistent results.

Imaging in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease: Current practice and advances.

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease (CTEPD) with or without pulmonary hypertension (PH) occurs when thromboemboli in pulmonary arteries fail to resolve completely. Pulmonary artery obstructions due to chronic thrombi and secondary microvasculopathy can increase pulmonary arterial pressure and resistance leading to chronic thromboembolic PH (CTEPH). Mechanical interventions and/or PH medications can improve cardiopulmonary haemodynamic, alleviate symptoms, and decrease mortality risk.

Background: The American College of Surgeons now requires mental health screening and follow up for hospitalized patients in trauma centers. National estimates indicate that 20-40 % of these patients will develop posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and/or depression within one year post-injury. Background: Scholarly critiques have demonstrated that the World Health Organization (WHO) approaches the concept of health equity inconsistently. For example, inconsistencies center around measuring health inequity across individuals versus groups; in approaches and goals sought in striving for health equity; and whether considerations around health equity prioritize socioeconomic status or also consider other social determinants of health.
