Due to the majority of currently available genome data deriving from individuals of European ancestry, the clinical interpretation of genomic variants in individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds remains a major diagnostic challenge. Here, we investigated the genetic cause of a complex neurodevelopmental phenotype in two Palestinian siblings. Whole exome sequencing identified a homozygous missense TECPR2 variant (Chr14(GRCh38):g.

Successful management of migraine in childhood and adolescence starts with making the correct diagnosis, assessing the impact of migraine on the child/adolescent's quality of life including impact on education, family life, and social activities. Understanding the child's and family's concerns and reasons for seeking medical advice is an important starting point in the management plan. Pharmacological treatment should go hand-in-hand with appropriate advice on maintaining a healthy life style, avoidance of triggers and aggravating factors, and exploring comorbid disorders that may influence response to treatment.

Interstitial lung disease (ILD) is a diverse group of inflammatory and fibrotic lung conditions causing significant morbidity and mortality. A multitude of factors beyond the lungs influence symptoms, health-related quality of life, disease progression and survival in patients with ILD. Despite an increasing emphasis on multidisciplinary management in ILD, the absence of a framework for assessment and delivery of comprehensive patient care poses challenges in clinical practice.

The World Health Organization (WHO) introduced the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) as a scientific method of disability data collection comprised of >1,200 categories describing the spectrum of impairment types (functional, symptoms-based and anatomical) under the bio-psycho-social model with consideration of and (pf). ICF Core Sets and ICF Checklists are streamlined disease-specific resources for clinical use, service provision, and for use in health economics and health policy. ICF can disclose strengths and weaknesses across multiple patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) and help consolidate best-fitting question-items from multiple PROMs.

Importance: Robot-assisted radical cystectomy is being performed with increasing frequency, but it is unclear whether total intracorporeal surgery improves recovery compared with open radical cystectomy for bladder cancer.
Objectives: To compare recovery and morbidity after robot-assisted radical cystectomy with intracorporeal reconstruction vs open radical cystectomy.
Design, Setting, And Participants: Randomized clinical trial of patients with nonmetastatic bladder cancer recruited at 9 sites in the UK, from March 2017-March 2020.
