The ABCD semaglutide audit was designed to capture the routine clinical outcomes of people commenced on semaglutide in the UK. Previous work showed differential reductions in HbA1c and weight dependent on previous glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) exposure. The analysis, in this research letter, shows that decreases in HbA1c and weight associated with semaglutide occur irrespective of previous GLP-1RA use.

Objectives: BRAVO (British Randomized Controlled Trial of AV and VV Optimization) is a multicenter, randomized, crossover, noninferiority trial comparing echocardiographic optimization of atrioventricular (AV) and interventricular delay with a noninvasive blood pressure method.

Background: Cardiac resynchronization therapy including AV delay optimization confers clinical benefit, but the optimization requires time and expertise to perform.

Methods: This study randomized patients to echocardiographic optimization or hemodynamic optimization using multiple-replicate beat-by-beat noninvasive blood pressure at baseline; after 6 months, participants were crossed over to the other optimization arm of the trial.

Purpose: Pulmonary rehabilitation (PR) has been shown to be an effective intervention in the management of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), but its role in elderly patients is not clearly defined. We investigated the effectiveness of rehabilitation in elderly patients with COPD.

Methods: Patients underwent multidisciplinary PR in a hospital outpatient gym twice weekly for 6 weeks.

Severe pain and shoulder stiffness after soft tissue trauma or fracture is a major cause of dysfunction. Some patients may have residual, resistant, significant shoulder stiffness that causes long-term functional impairment. This study reports the results of arthroscopic capsular release in 21 patients who presented with posttraumatic stiff shoulders resistant to nonoperative therapy.
