With the emergence of devices such as the Trabectome, iStent, and others, MIGS have expanded the surgical toolkit, allowing personalized, patient-centered care.

Tibial derotation osteotomies are effective in improving pain and function and avoiding hip arthroscopy in patients with hip pain-a short-term follow-up.

The primary objective was to determine short-term clinical outcomes following distal tibial derotation osteotomy (DTDO) performed to manage hip pain in the presence of tibial maltorsion and to review how co-existing pathomorphology affected the management. All patients undergoing DTDO for hip pain with tibial rotational deformities recognized as the predominant aetiology were included. Normal tibial torsion range was assumed as 0-40°, measured by trans-malleolar line relative to femoral posterior condyles.

It can be primary (familial/genetic) or secondary. It is associated with infections, malignancies, and rheumatologic and immunodeficiency disorders.

Objectives: Prognostic models are widely used across medicine and within cardiothoracic surgery, where predictive tools such as EuroSCORE are commonplace. Stabilization of the Distal Radioulnar Joint Using the TightRope Implant: A Distal Oblique Bundle Augmentation.

 Triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC) injury often results in distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) instability. However, not all patients with a ruptured TFCC have an unstable DRUJ as in these patients a distal oblique bundle (DOB) may be present. We assumed that augmentation of the DOB leads to a more stable situation following reinsertion of the TFCC.

The role of multidisciplinary team and stepwise pelvic devascularization to minimize blood loss during total pelvic exenteration for patients refusing blood transfusion.

Key Clinical Message: Radical gynecology oncology surgeries are feasible in patients refusing blood transfusion, when performed with careful preoperative (with hemoglobin optimization and patients' counseling), intraoperative (with hemostasis and stepwise devascularization, hemodilution, and autologous cell salvage) and postoperative (considering iron infusion or erythropoietin) planning with a multidisciplinary team involvement.

Abstract: We describe the case of a female Jehovah's Witness patient in her 60s undergoing pelvic exenteration, focusing on the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative measures that allowed an uncomplicated surgery without blood transfusion. Blood transfusions are common in the surgical management of gynecology oncology patients, up to 93% of patients undergoing pelvic exenteration may require blood products.

Urinary Tract infection (UTI) is one of the most common infections worldwide, patients present to multiple different specialities in the community, primary and secondary care. Antibiotics are considered standard first line therapy in the treatment of urinary tract infections, however there is an alarming rise in global antibiotic resistance rates, so much so that the World Health Organisation has labelled antibiotic resistance as one of the biggest challenges to public health in our lifetime, publishing a global action plan to tackle this challenge. As a result, there is an increasing need to discover non-antibiotic alternatives, recently a number of novel therapies have been introduced into clinical practice.

Though highly sensitive and specific, a major limitation is in cases of confined placental mosaicism (CPM). Whether to perform chorionic villus sampling (CVS) or amniocentesis to confirm a positive NIPT result is controversial.
