Performing pharmacist interventions (PIs) during the medication review helps to improve the quality of care. The acceptance by the physician of these PIs is a good indicator of the quality of this clinical pharmacy activity. The objective of this study was to determine, in the Amiens-Picardie teaching hospital (France), factors of acceptance in a variable environment of activity (central pharmacy, in the care units, computer assisted).

Objective: To study the effect of age on the risk-benefit balance of abatacept in RA.
Methods: Data from the French orencia and RA registry, including a 2-year follow-up, were used to compare the effectiveness and safety of abatacept according to age.
Results: Among the 1017 patients, 103 were very elderly (⩾75 years), 215 elderly (65-74), 406 intermediate aged (50-64) and 293 very young (<50).

Context: Outcomes of congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to classic 21-hydroxylase deficiency (21OHD) have been widely studied in children and women, but less so in men.
Objective: The objective was to analyze data from a network of metropolitan French teaching hospitals on the clinical outcome of classic 21OHD in a large sample of congenital adrenal hyperplasia/21OHD-genotyped adult men, and particularly the impact of 21OHD on the gonadotrope axis, testicular function, and fertility.
Methods: From April 2011 to June 2014, tertiary endocrinology departments provided data for 219 men with 21OHD (ages, 18-70 y; 73.

Objective: The response rate to many therapies for RA is lower in women. The aim of this study was to analyse the influence of gender on the response to rituximab (RTX) in patients with RA.
Methods: A total of 1709 RA patients were included in the French Autoimmunity and Rituximab (AIR) registry.

Introduction: Early detection of spine fractures in children is difficult because the clinical examination does not always raise worrisome symptoms and the vertebrae are still cartilaginous, and consequently incompletely visualized on routine X-rays. Therefore, diagnosis is often delayed or missed.
Hypothesis: The search for a "breath arrest" sensation at the moment of the trauma improves early detection of thoracolumbar spine fractures in children.

Introduction: In patients with anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, anterior laxity can be measured using stress radiographs or more recently introduced electronic measurement devices.
Hypothesis: The GNRB(®) arthrometer offers a radiation-free method of measuring anterior knee laxity whose diagnostic value is identical to that of Telos(®) or Lerat stress radiographs.
Patients And Methods: One hundred and fifty-seven patients (40 years [18-69]) scheduled for knee arthroscopy were evaluated using the GNRB(®) and two series of stress radiographs of both knees, one obtained using a 250-N Telos(®) device and the other using the technique described by Lerat (posterior translation of the femur/tibia under a 9-kg loading device).

Introduction: Double gloving is recommended in orthopedic surgery, notably in total hip arthroplasties (THA) to prevent contamination of the surgical site.
Hypothesis: Systematic glove changes during the key phases of hip prosthesis implantation reduce the frequency of occult perforations and bacterial loading of glove surfaces.
Patients And Methods: During 29 THA implantation procedures, we evaluated the bacterial contamination of the outer glove surface and its perforation rate.

Introduction: Many techniques for arthroscopic subtalar arthrodesis have been described since 1985. The procedure can be challenging because posterior and anterior portals are used conjointly with distraction. A posterior 2-portal approach was described in 2000.

A 42-year-old male was admitted for right-sided sciatica with asymptomatic septic arthritis of the fifth toe of the right foot. He had a history of active chronic hepatitis C and septic arthritis of the fifth toe of the left foot. His symptoms included low back pain, poorly systematized right-sided sciatica, impairment of all forms of sensation in both lower limbs, absent ankle jerks, episodes of urinary retention, urgency, and painless septic arthritis of the fifth toe of the right foot.

A 48-year-old man with an unremarkable medical history was admitted for a painful swelling over the anteromedial aspect of his right leg. Radiographs disclosed heterogeneity of the proximal tibia, with increased uptake on the bone scan. Computed tomography findings consisted of heterogeneity of the proximal tibial metaphysis and diaphysis with subtle cortical osteolysis, periosteal appositions and soft tissue involvement.

Unlabelled: There have been few studies of long-term functional outcomes and quality of life in patients with polymyositis or dermatomyositis.
Patients: 28 patients, 16 female and 12 male, meeting Bohan's and Peter's criteria and admitted between 1970 and 1993, were studied retrospectively; nine had polymyositis and 19 dermatomyositis (with onset during childhood in five cases); mean age was 43.5 years.

Although factors that appear to predict long-term outcomes of rheumatoid arthritis have been identified, there is no consensus about the treatment early in the disease. To determine how French office- and hospital-based rheumatologists treat early rheumatoid arthritis, we created three clinical vignettes corresponding to different levels of severity of early rheumatoid arthritis (less than six months' disease duration). Cases 1 and 2 were relatively young patients (35 and 50 years), and Case 1 had numerous poor prognosis factors.

The Bessou gait analyzer provides quantitative measurements of spatiotemporal gait parameters. The purpose of this study was to determine whether and how these parameters are influenced by age, stature, and gender. Seventy-nine normal individuals (38 males aged 20 to 80 years and 41 females aged 20 to 80 years) were divided into ten-year age groups.
