Introduction: Despite technological advancements in recent years, glenoid component loosening remains a common complication after anatomical total shoulder arthroplasty (ATSA) and is one of the main causes of revision surgery. Increasing emphasis is placed on the prevention of glenoid component failure. Previous studies have successfully predicted range of motion, patient-reported outcomes and short-term complications after ATSA using machine learning methods, but an accurate predictive model for (glenoid component) revision is currently lacking.

Background: The Hamilton Inventory for complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) is a multidisciplinary assessment tool to evaluate signs and symptoms in patients with CRPS, developed in the English language.
Purpose: This study aims to translate and cross-culturally adapt this tool for Persian-speaking patients with CRPS. Furthermore, this study aimed to understand how 1) Persian-speaking experts and patients interpret and calibrate responses to items on the Hamilton Inventory and 2) compensatory strategies that might affect responses.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to conduct a systematic review of the psychometric properties of Pressure Pain Detection Threshold (PPDT) measures in people with hand or wrist injuries.
Study Design And Methods: MEDLINE, Embase, and CINAHL databases were searched to identify eligible studies evaluating psychometric properties of PPDT in samples composed of at least 50% of people with hand or wrist injury. The Consensus-based Standards for the Measurement of Health Instruments' risk of bias checklist was used to critically appraise the included studies, and qualitative synthesis was performed by pooling the results of all studies that presented the same measurement property using Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation.

Background: Orthosis (orthotic) fabrication is an essential part of the treatment plan for many upper extremity conditions.
Purpose: We aim to comprehensively identify the current body of evidence about the purpose, structure, scope, and application of available orthotic classification systems. Our secondary aim was to know if the current classification systems can be used as a decision guide for clinicians.

Background: The aim of this study was to determine the optimal repair tension of the lateral collateral ligament of the elbow by performing simulated active flexion with the arm in the varus gravity loaded position using an in vitro elbow simulator.
Methods: Eight cadaveric specimens were mounted in the varus gravity loaded orientation onto an elbow motion simulator. Four states were studied (intact, lateral collateral ligament injured, and 15 N and 20 N lateral collateral ligament repairs) with the forearm in supination and pronation.

Purpose: An emerging imaging modality, four-dimensional computed tomography, can provide dynamic evaluation of carpal motion, which allows for a better understanding of how the carpals work together to achieve range of motion. The objective of this work was to examine kinematic motion of the carpus through a flexion/extension arc of motion using four-dimensional computed tomography.
Methods: A convenience sample of 20 uninjured participants underwent a four-dimensional computed tomography scanning protocol through a complete arc of flexion/extension motion.

Background: Telerehabilitation is increasingly being used to meet the rehabilitation needs of situations where face-to-face therapy is not possible. Nevertheless, reports on barriers and facilitators of implementing this method from the perspective of therapists still need to be made available.
Purpose: To investigate the experiences of hand therapists when implementing telerehabilitation, examining the difficulties, barriers, and facilitators encountered during its implementation.

Background: Our objective was to summarize, synthesize, and integrate the evidence evaluating the effectiveness of biophysical agents compared to other conservative treatments, for the management of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).
Methods: This was an overview of systematic reviews (SRs). We searched several online databases and obtained SRs relating to managing CTS using biophysical agents.

Background: Stemless anatomic humeral components are commonly used and are an accepted alternative to traditional stemmed implants in patients with good bone quality. Presently, little literature exists on the design and implantation parameters that influence primary time-zero fixation of stemless reverse humeral implants. Accordingly, this finite element analysis study assessed the surgical implantation variable of neck-shaft angle, and its effect on the primary time-zero fixation of reversed stemless humeral implants.

Background: Proximal humerus fracture (PHF) is a common upper extremity injury. PHF often causes prolonged disability and interferes with independent function.
Purpose: This study reviewed and summarized prognostic factors of recovery following PHF and classified them within the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) with each domain sub-categorized by modifiability.

Background: Opioid overprescription is a problem in orthopaedic surgery. Arthroscopic surgery, given its minimally invasive nature, represents an opportunity to minimize opioid prescription and consumption by using effective pain management adjuncts. Thus, the primary question posed in this study was which noninvasive pain management modalities can effectively manage pain and reduce opioid intake after arthroscopic surgery.

Purpose: Ulnar shortening osteotomy (USO) is commonly performed to alleviate pathologies causing ulnar-sided wrist pain. Surgical complications include nonunion and hardware removal, with rates up to 18% and 45%, respectively. The primary objective of the study was to report the overall complication rate of USO.

Introduction: Hardware prominence is one of the major established complications following volar plating of distal radius fractures. In particular, dorsal prominence of screws is the leading risk factor associated with post-surgical extensor pollicis longus (EPL) tendon rupture. Although there are many descriptions of attritional EPL ruptures in the literature, concomitant presentation of attritional EPL and extensor digitorum communis (EDC) ruptures following volar plating of distal radius fractures are minimal.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to summarize and evaluate the research on the accuracy of provocative maneuvers to diagnose carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS).
Methods: The MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cochrane, and Embase databases were searched, and studies that assessed the diagnostic accuracy of at least 1 provocative test for CTS were selected. Study characteristics and data about the diagnostic accuracy of the provocative tests for CTS were extracted.

The reverse shoulder arthroplasty conceived by Paul Grammont in 1985 has gradually gained popularity as a treatment for multiple shoulder diseases. Unlike previous reverse shoulder prosthesis characterized by unsatisfactory results and a high glenoid implant failure rate, the Grammont design has immediately shown good clinical outcomes. This semi constrained prosthesis solved the issues of the very first designs by medializing and distalizing the center of rotation with an increased stability of the replacement of the component.

Objective: The objective of this study was to examine measurement properties of the Joint replacement version for Hip Disability and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (HOOS-JR) using Rasch analysis in patients with osteoarthritis of hip (HOA).
Design: Cross-sectional clinical measurement SETTING: Patient outcomes database at a tertiary care hospital PARTICIPANTS: Convenience sampling of patients with HOA scheduled for total hip arthroplasty (N=327) OUTCOME MEASURES AND ANALYSIS: The data for pre-surgery assessments for patients with HOA were extracted from an existing database. Variables extracted included HOOS-JR scores, demographic information (age, sex), health-related data, and anthropometric variables.
