Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in females is an endocrine pathological condition of reproductive age which is usually caused by insulin resistance, hyperlipidemia, and oxidative stress. This research was aimed at evaluating the therapeutic effect of the seed extract (CA) against PCOS in rodents as it is traditionally used to treat diabetes, inflammation, and gynecological problems. The CA was chemically characterized by high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detection (HPLC-DAD).

The eigenvalues are significant in mathematics, but they are also relevant in other domains like as chemistry, economics, and a variety of others. In terms of our research, eigenvalues are used in chemistry to represent not only the form of energy but also the various physicochemical aspects of a chemical substance. We must comprehend the connection between mathematics and chemistry.

In contemplating the prospects of advanced world countries, researchers stand divided among two groups: one group crying "melting of glaciers" and the group denying global warming as a significant concern while reaping the fruits of growth. One persistent concern for the other group is much desirable economic growth at the cost of environmental degradation, which is now reaching a scale where the global climate is become not only unsustainable but also causing a significant threat to our existence. In our opinion, environmental degradation should be taken very seriously now, particularly by pointing out the necessary variables causing it so that effective policy designs are formulated.

The first and only antidepressant drug on the market with solid proof of clinically significant serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake inhibition is clomipramine (CLP). However, significant first-pass metabolism reduces its absorption to less than 62%. It is heavily protein-bound and broadly dispersed across the body (9-25 L/kg volume of distribution).

Objective: To compare the effects of Same Arm Movement Therapy versus Constraint Induced Movement Therapy in improving upper-limb functions in patients of chronic stroke.

Methods: The pilot, assessor-blind, randomised control trial was conducted from February to September 2020 at the Spine and Physiotherapy Rehab Centre, Riphah Rehabilitation Centre, Lahore, Pakistan, and comprised patients of either gender aged 30-60 years having any type of stroke for a minimum 3 months. They were randomised into group A which received same arm movement therapy for 8 weeks of mental rehearsal of upper limb movements during 45min supervised sessions three times a week and structured independent sessions twice a week, and group B which received constrain induced movement therapy for eight weeks of daily intensive training of the affected extremity for two hours per day, five days per week for eight weeks in association with restriction of the non-affected extremity for 10 hours a day.

Silicate minerals make up the majority of the earth's crust and account for almost 92 percent of the total. Silicate sheets, often known as silicate networks, are characterised as definite connectivity parallel designs. A key idea in studying different generalised classes of graphs in terms of planarity is the face of the graph.

  • * Only 11.5% of pharmacies had a pharmacist present, with over 80% of staff unaware of MDR-TB and lacking informational resources, which may lead to inappropriate treatment practices.
  • * Quality testing of anti-TB drugs revealed that 30% did not meet specifications, particularly in the dissolution and content of rifampicin, highlighting a serious risk in treatment efficacy and contributing to the MDR-TB crisis.

How workplace loneliness harms employee well-being: A moderated mediational model.

Front Psychol

January 2023

Riphah School of Business and Management, Riphah International University (Lahore), Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

This study investigated the effect of workplace loneliness on work-related subjective well-being by proposing work engagement as an explanatory mechanism in the workplace loneliness-job dissatisfaction relationship. Moreover, the study examines the need to belong as a coping mechanism in the relationship between workplace loneliness and work engagement. Specifically, the study posits that workplace loneliness reduces the positive and fulfilling state of work engagement that in turn increases job dissatisfaction and that this mediation depends on the employee's level of need to belong.

In this work, aluminum/starch (St)-doped CaO nanoparticles (NPs) were synthesized by a co-precipitation method to degrade harmful dyes in various pH media. Systematic characterization was performed to investigate the influence of Al/St dopants on the composition, crystal structure, functional groups present, optical characteristics, and morphology of CaO NPs. Further hybrid density functional analyses corroborated that the band gap energy was reduced as the Al concentration in starch-doped CaO is increased.

This study presents the investigations of structural, elastic, optical, and electronic properties of CaQCl (Q = Li and K) chloroperovskites for the first time using the DFT framework. The WIEN2K and IRelast packages are used in which the exchange-correlation potential of the modified Becke-Johnson potential (TB-mBJ) is used for obtaining better results. The optimized crystal structural parameters comprising the lattice constant, optimum volume, ground state energy, bulk modulus, and the pressure derivative of bulk modulus are computed by fitting the primitive unit cell energy primitive unit cell volume using the Birch-Murnaghan equation of state.

The present study is aimed to develop and optimize levosulpiride-loaded nanostructured lipid carriers (LSP-NLCs) for improving oral bioavailability and prokinetic activity of LSP. LSP-NLCs were optimized with D-optimal mixture design using solid lipid, liquid lipid and surfactant concentrations as independent variables. The prepared LSP-NLCs were evaluated for physicochemical properties and solid-state characterization.

In this work, the structural, electronic, magnetic and elastic properties of the xenon-based fluoroperovskites XeMF (M = Ti, V, Zr, Nb) have been studied using density functional theory. The structural study reveals that all the perovskites have stable structures. A half-metallic nature is observed due to the presence of a band gap in only the spin-down channel.

In the aggregation of uncertain information, it is very important to consider the interrelationship of the input information. Hamy mean (HM) is one of the fine tools to deal with such scenarios. This paper aims to extend the idea of the HM operator and dual HM (DHM) operator in the framework of complex intuitionistic fuzzy sets (CIFSs).

Kidney cancer is a very dangerous and lethal cancerous disease caused by kidney tumors or by genetic renal disease, and very few patients survive because there is no method for early prediction of kidney cancer. Early prediction of kidney cancer helps doctors start proper therapy and treatment for the patients, preventing kidney tumors and renal transplantation. With the adaptation of artificial intelligence, automated tools empowered with different deep learning and machine learning algorithms can predict cancers.
