Radionuclide diagnosis of regional metastases in patients with testicular tumours.

We have studied 181 patients with germ-cell tumours of the testis. The first group comprised 80 persons without evidence of metastasizing into retroperitoneal lymph nodes; the second group included 101 patients with germinal testicular tumours metastasizing into regional lymph nodes. Eighty patients were subjected to transperitoneal lymphadenectomy which allowed comparison of the results of lymphoscintigraphy (negative radionuclide diagnosis with colloid agents labelled with gold and technetium positive radionuclide diagnosis with 99mTc-pertechnetate) with the findings of histologic examination.

Methodology of functional studies in nephrologic clinic.

Authors have worked out the methodology of functional diagnosis in nephrologic clinic--strategy, tactics and individual programme--on the basis of their own experience. The strategy is based on the natural functions of excretory and incretory renal function and quantitative and qualitative characteristics of indices. The tactics is based on the natural functions of evolution of renal diseases and probable exogenic and endogenic influences.

A case of successful replantation of testis after autohemicastration.

A case of autohemicastration in a 19-year-old patient with schizophrenia is reported. Orthotopic replantation of the testis under local hypothermia was performed. One pair of arterial, two pairs of venous vessels and vas deferens ends were anastomosed micro-surgically end-to-end.
