The widespread use of chemicals by modern society and the prevalence of harmful habits (alcoholism, tobacco smoking, drug addiction) leads to an unnaturally high intake of exogenous pollutants in the human body, which can cause damage to internal organs, including the reproductive system. The aim of this study was to determine the peculiarities of the reproductive system of women of reproductive age with liver dysfunction under the influence of exogenous pollutants, namely, due to harmful working conditions and tobacco smoking. Estimation of activity of liver enzymes was determined by the level of activity of alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, and gamma-glutamate transaminase.

The modern practice of sports medicine and medical rehabilitation requires the search for subtle criteria for the development of conditions and recovery of the body after diseases, which would have a prognostic value for the prevention of negative effects of training and rehabilitation tools, and also testify to the development and course of mechanisms for counteracting pathogenetic processes in the body. The purpose of this study was to determine the informative directions of the cardiorespiratory system parameters dynamics during the performing a maneuver with a change in breathing rate, which may indicate the body functional state violation. The results of the study of 183 healthy men aged 21.

Clinical and electroneuromyographic studies were performed in 121 patients with diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN) before and after courses of treatment with pulsed electromagnetic fields with complex modulation (PEMF-CM) at different frequencies (100 and 10 Hz). Testing of patients using the TSS and NIS LL scales demonstrated a correlation between the severity and frequency of the main subjective and objective effects of disease and the stage of DPN. The severity of changes in the segmental-peripheral neuromotor apparatus--decreases in muscle bioelectrical activity, the impulse conduction rate along efferent fibers of peripheral nerves, and the amplitude of the maximum M response--depended on the stage of DPN and the duration of diabetes mellitus.

These changes were diffuse in seropositive patients and rather focal in seronegative patients. The authors, on the basis of these findings, suggest a wider spread of HIV infection in drug addicts; they express doubts in the secondary nature of HIV-encephalopathy and believe that drug addiction should be considered as factor promoting HIV-infection development.
