The stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway is important for anticancer immune responses. However, the relative contributions of host and tumour STING in anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (anti-PD-1) inhibitor responses in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) are unknown. STING expression in tumour and blood was associated with anti-PD-1 therapy in NSCLC patients; Moreover, loss of PD-1 inhibitor therapeutic potency was demonstrated in STING KO (knock out) splenocytes and STING KO mice.

Background: Undifferentiated carcinoma with osteoclast-like giant cells (OGCs) of pancreas (UCOGCP) is a rare subtype of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which had poorly described histopathological and clinical features.

Methods: In this study, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) was used to profile the distinct tumor microenvironment of UCOGCP using samples obtained from one UCOGCP patient and three PDAC patients. Bioinformatic analysis was carried out and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining was used to support the findings of bioinformatic analysis.

Multifunctional Electrospun Textiles for Wound Healing.

The novel multifunctional electrospun textiles were fabricated by incorporating sheet-like kaolinite and silver nanoparticles (AgNps) into a polyurethane (PU) textile by using electrostatic spinning to promote wound-healing process. Threedimensional network of PU electrospun textiles offered an appropriate framework for loading kaolinite nanosheets and AgNps. Moreover, the kaolinite nanosheets healed bleeding wounds by accelerating plasma absorption, increasing blood cell concentrations, and stimulating coagulation factors.

Dual-Driven Hemostats Featured with Puncturing Erythrocytes for Severe Bleeding in Complex Wounds.

Achieving rapid hemostasis in complex and deep wounds with secluded hemorrhagic sites is still a challenge because of the difficulty in delivering hemostats to these sites. In this study, a Janus particle, SEC-Fe@CaT with dual-driven forces, bubble-driving, and magnetic field- (MF-) mediated driving, was prepared via loading of FeO on a sunflower sporopollenin exine capsule (SEC), and followed by growth of flower-shaped CaCO clusters. The bubble-driving forces enabled SEC-Fe@CaT to self-diffuse in the blood to eliminate agglomeration, and the MF-mediated driving force facilitated the SEC-Fe@CaT countercurrent against blood to access deep bleeding sites in the wounds.
