This study reports on the development of a highly sensitive non-enzymatic electrochemical sensor based on a two-dimensional TiCT/MWCNT-OH nanocomposite for the detection of paraoxon-based pesticide. The synergistic effect between the TiCT nanosheet and the functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes enhanced the sensor's conductivity and catalytic activity. The nanocomposite demonstrates superior electrochemical and electroanalytical performance compared to the pristine TiCT and MWCNT-OH in detecting paraoxon-ethyl in fruit samples (green and red grapes), with a linear response range from 0.

The cultivation and differentiation of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) into organoids are crucial for advancing of new drug development and personalized cell therapies. Despite establishing of chemically defined hESC culture media over the past decade, these media's reliance on growth factors, which are costly and prone to degradation, poses a challenge for sustained and stable cell culture. Here, we introduce an hESC culture system(E6Bs) that facilitates the long-term, genetically stable expansion of hESCs, enabling cells to consistently sustain high levels of pluripotency markers, including NANOG, SOX2, TRA-1-60, and SSEA4, across extended periods.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV), as a type of Alphacoronavirus causing acute diarrhea and high death rate among sucking piglets, poses great financial damage to the swine industry. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanism whereby PEDV enters host cells is unclear, limiting the development of PED vaccines and anti-PEDV agents. Objectives: We aimed to describe health-related quality of life (HRQoL), overall and across its dimensions, identify associated factors, and assess changes over time among people with HIV (PWH) from the Spanish multicentre CoRIS cohort.
Methods: We developed a mobile app to collect HRQoL data every 3 months using the WHOQOL-HIV-BREF questionnaire (31 items across six domains), among PWH followed in CoRIS in 2021-2023. Factors associated with good/very good global HRQoL and with domain-specific mean scores were identified using multivariable logistic and linear regression, respectively.

Aims: Crovalimab is a novel C5 inhibitor administered first intravenously and then subcutaneously in patients with paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH) naive to complement inhibition or switching from eculizumab or ravulizumab. Crovalimab showed efficacy and safety comparable to eculizumab in the pivotal COMMODORE 2 and supporting studies.
Methods: We characterized crovalimab pharmacokinetics and the relationship between exposure pharmacokinetic parameters and pharmacodynamic biomarkers, efficacy and safety endpoints using pooled data (healthy volunteers [n = 9], naive [n = 210] and switched [n = 211] patients).
