A solar cooker is essential for cooking nutrient-dense food as opposed to LPG, which is avoidable. In the current situation, the solar cooker's incorporation of a nanoparticle covering resulted in improved thermal performance and shorter cooking times. It has been attempted to forecast thermal performance using the Fourier series and to validate the study of cooking liquid temperatures using the Fourier series.

In this study, the effect of employing ZnO/Acalypha Indica leaf extract (ZAE) on the energy absorption of a coated portable solar cooker has been examined using an experimental setup. A prototypical model has been developed to corroborate in associating an investigative outcome per constituents of the experiments. The studied heat transfer process in ZAE is stable for harsh conditions.

Engineering Research Centre for Solar Energy and Refrigeration of MOE, School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai 200240, People's Republic of China.

Building-integrated photovoltaics is a crucial technology for developing zero-energy buildings and sustainable cities, while great efforts are required to make photovoltaic (PV) panels aesthetically pleasing. This places an urgent demand on PV colorization technology that has a low impact on power conversion efficiency (PCE) and is simultaneously mass-producible at a low cost. To address this challenge, this study contributes a colorization strategy for solar PVs based on short-range correlated dielectric microspheres, .

The paper describes the synthesis and characterization of copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) using the mixture of plant rhizome extracts and as a reducing agent. The prepared CuO nanoparticles are characterized and confirmed their formation based on data obtained from powder X-ray diffraction spectroscopy, Fourier Transmission Infrared, Ultraviolet-Visible spectra, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy images, Energy Dispersive X-ray analysis and Dynamic light scattering techniques and data reveal that the average size of CuO Nps was 103.4 nm.

Investigating the performance of dish solar distiller with phase change material mixed with AlO nanoparticles under different water depths.

Environ Sci Pollut Res Int

April 2022

Research Centre for Solar Energy, Department of Physics, Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation, Green Fields, Guntur District, Vaddeswaram, Andhra Pradesh, 522502, India.

The problem of potable water shortage all over the world made the scientists seek for solutions to overcome this problem. Solar distiller is one of the introduced solutions, but it demerited by the low freshwater output. In this proposed paper, a design modification includes the use of a convex dish absorber instead of the flat absorber liner.

Since the discovery of COVID-19 at the end of 2019, a significant surge in forecasting publications has been recorded. Both statistical and artificial intelligence (AI) approaches have been reported; however, the AI approaches showed a better accuracy compared with the statistical approaches. This study presents a review on the applications of different AI approaches used in forecasting the spread of this pandemic.

The unavailability of sunlight during nighttime and cloudy weather condition has limited the usage of solar cookers throughout the day. This study will attempt to engineer a solar cooker with PV (photovoltaic panel), evacuated tubes with CPC reflectors, battery, and charge controller using the microcontroller PIC 16F877A. A mathematical model is developed to predict the electrical power (E) required during cloudy weather condition and nighttime as well as the temperatures occurring at different parts of the cooker.
