Intramedullary nailing is the preferred treatment method in tibial, femoral shaft, and sub- or intertrochanteric fractures. Despite good results, a number of complications have been well-characterized. Joint perforation by bone fragment during nail insertion is one such complication.

Purpose: The purpose of this article was to provide feasibility and safety results of robotic transabdominal preperitoneal inguinal hernia repair (Robotic TAPP).
Methods: We included 271 cases of robotic inguinal hernia TAPP repair using the Senhance robotic platform from four different centers between March 2017 and March 2020. Key data points were intraoperative and postoperative complication rate, operating time, length of hospital stay, postoperative pain score and time required to get back to a daily routine that were inserted in the TransEnterix European Patient Registry for Robotic assisted Laparoscopic Procedures in Urology, Abdominal Surgery, Thoracic and Gynecologic Surgery (TRUST).

Human falls pose a serious threat to the person's health, especially for the elderly and disease-impacted people. Early detection of involuntary human gait change can indicate a forthcoming fall. Therefore, human body fall warning can help avoid falls and their caused injuries for the skeleton and joints.

The available diagnostic methods are mostly used to measure and visualize blood flow and are not useful in the evaluation of perfusion, especially in diabetic patients, which is now considered to be a research priority by most of the vascular societies around the world as this is still a relatively poorly studied phenomenon.
Objective: The aim of this review is to explore the clinical significance of muscle tissue oxygenation monitoring in lower-extremity peripheral artery disease diagnosis using the near-infrared spectroscopy method.

Introduction: Despite relatively low incidence, dislocation remains one of the main reasons for total hip arthroplasty (THA) revision. It is a devastating complication for a patient and a surgeon, and has high burden on the healthcare system. The aim of the present study was to assess and compare the risk factors for revision after early and delayed THA dislocations.

: There are no valid patient-based pelvic ring function assessment tools in Lithuania. The most widely used instrument is the Majeed Pelvic Score (MPS), which is proven to be an effective tool for assessing pelvic function after pelvic injuries. The aims of our study were: (1) the translation and cross-cultural adaptation of the MPS for the Lithuanian-speaking population, (2) to test the psychometric properties of the Lithuanian version of the MPS (MPS-LT) at follow-up two-time points after pelvic fractures.

: The treatment algorithm of lateral compression B2 type pelvic fractures are still under debate. Some authors advocate conservative treatment, while others recommend surgical approach. The clear indications for isolated anterior or posterior ring fixation or combined anterior-posterior pelvic ring fixation of B2 type fractures remain unclear.

Background: A lack of movement coordination characterized by the undershoot or overshoot of the intended location with the hand, arm, or leg is often found in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Standardized as Finger-to-Nose (FNT) and The Heel-to-Shin (HST) tests are the most frequently used tests for qualitative examination of upper and lower body coordination. Inertial sensors facilitate in performing quantitative motion analysis and by estimating body symmetry more accurately assess coordination lesion and imbalance.

Dislocation of the elbow joint is the second most common dislocation after the shoulder joint. Although this pathology is relatively common, concomitant vascular injuries are rare. We present a case of a patient who sustained a fall on his arm with an outstretched elbow that resulted in a closed simple posterolateral elbow dislocation and delayed thrombosis of the brachial artery followed by two revascularisation surgeries.

Background and Purpose- Posterior circulation stroke (PCS) accounts for 5% to 19% of patients with acute stroke receiving intravenous thrombolysis. We aimed to compare safety and outcomes following intravenous thrombolysis between patients with PCS and anterior circulation stroke (ACS) and incorporate the results in a meta-analysis. Methods- We included patients in the Safe Implementation of Treatments in Stroke Thrombolysis Registry 2013 to 2017 with computed tomography/magnetic resonance angiographic occlusion data.

Transcranial magnetic stimulation is used to explore visual cortex hyperexcitability in migraine. We hypothesized that the phosphene threshold in subjects suffering from migraines with and without aura would be lower than in controls, and this phenomenon could be linked to higher pain and disability levels. We also implied that subjects with lower phosphene threshold could see more phosphenes of different colors and shapes.

Background and Purpose- A large infarct and expanding cerebral edema (CED) due to a middle cerebral artery occlusion confers a 70% mortality unless treated surgically. Reperfusion may cause blood-brain barrier disruption and a risk for cerebral edema and secondary parenchymal hemorrhage (PH). We aimed to investigate the effect of recanalization on development of early CED and PH after recanalization therapy.
