State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine and Offspring Health, Center for Reproductive Medicine, Institute of Women, Children and Reproductive Health, Shandong University, Jinan, 250012, China.

There is limited clinical research investigating the optimal transplantation strategy in early oocyte retrieval cycles. We aimed to assess whether the maturation of oocytes from early oocyte retrieval influenced pregnancy outcomes, and to find the optimal embryo transfer strategy (fresh or frozen-thawed embryo transfers) for patients who had early oocyte retrieval and underwent in vitro maturation (IVM). A retrospective cohort study was conducted in a university-based reproductive medical center.

College of Intelligent Medicine and Biotechnology, Guilin Medical University, Guilin, Guangxi 541199, China. Electronic address:

Background: PFAS pose a significant threat to cardiovascular health and increase the risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD). However, there is limited research evidence regarding the mechanisms by which PFAS affect the risk of ASCVD and the exposure-risk (E-R) relationship. The effect of kidney function in the relationship between PFAS and ASCVD risk has not been adequately validated.

Background: Couples undergoing artificial insemination by donor semen(AID) represent a unique group of infertility patients, the relationship between fertility pressure and attachment styles remains unclear. To investigate the fertility pressure and attachment dimensions in artificial insemination by donor semen(AID) couples, and develop an Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) for patient care.

Methods: This study is a cross-sectional study.

In Brief: Abnormal glucose metabolism may be involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis. The present study identifies that highly expressed H19 leads to increased aerobic glycolysis and histone lactylation levels in endometriosis.

Abstract: Previous studies from our group and others have shown increased IncRNA H19 expression in both the eutopic endometrium and the ectopic endometriosis tissue during endometriosis.

Purpose: The reproductive outcomes of patients with endometriosis who are infertile have attracted recent attention. We aimed to explore whether endometriosis affects endometrial receptivity by observing pregnancy outcomes following a euploid blastocyst frozen embryo transfer.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study analyzed the data of patients with endometriosis from the reproductive hospital affiliated to Shandong University between January 2015 and December 2021.

Controversial conclusions have been made in previous studies regarding the influence of ultra-long gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRH-a) in the reproductive outcomes of women with endometriosis who are undergoing in vitro fertilization/ intracytoplasmic sperm injection embryo transfer (IVF/ICSI-ET). An electronic search was conducted through PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Elsevier ScienceDirect and Medline from inception until 10 September 2022. Only randomized studies were included.

During controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH), cystic anechoic zones in the uterine cavity are occasionally visible. This retrospective matched cohort study collected information on patients who underwent in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic injection (IVF/ICSI) from January 2014 to December 2020 at our center. The propensity score algorithm matched 179 cases that had uterine cystic anechoic zones, with 358 which did not have uterine cystic anechoic zones cases.

(1) Background: Controversial conclusions have been made in previous studies regarding the influence of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the reproductive outcomes of women with repeated implantation failures (RIF) who are undergoing embryo transfer (ET). (2) Methods: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of PRP intrauterine infusion in patients with unexplained RIF, who are undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic injection (ICSI), by a systematic review and meta-analysis. (3) Results: A fixed-effects model was used, and 795 cases and 834 controls were included in these studies.

Introduction: Chronic endometritis is a common disease in women of childbearing age and can cause pelvic inflammatory disease. The cGAS-STING pathway plays an important role in many inflammatory diseases.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between the cGAS-STING pathway and endometritis.

Research Question: Which characteristics of patients with a thin endometrium (endometrial thickness [EMT] ≤7.5 mm on human chorionic gonadotrophin [HCG] trigger day) suggest the possibility of an EMT >7.5 mm in the subsequent frozen cycle?

Design: Data were collected from the university-affiliated Centre for Reproductive Medicine between January 2013 and September 2019.

Variations of C14ORF39 and SYCE1 Identified in Idiopathic Premature Ovarian Insufficiency and Nonobstructive Azoospermia.

J Clin Endocrinol Metab

February 2022

Center for Reproductive Medicine, Cheeloo College of Medicine, Shandong University, Jinan 250012, Shandong, China.

Context: Premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) and nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA) are the most severe diseases causing irreversible infertility in females and males, respectively. The contribution of synaptonemal complex (SC) gene variations in the pathogenesis of sporadic patients with POI and NOA has not been systematically illustrated.

Objective: To investigate the role of SC genes in the pathogenesis of sporadic POI and NOA.

Center for Reproductive Medicine, Reproductive Hospital Affiliated to Shandong University, No.157 Jingliu Road, Jinan 250000, China; National Research Centre for Assisted Reproductive Technology and Reproductive Genetic, Jinan, China. Electronic address:

Research Question: What is the association between endometrial thickness (EMT) on HCG trigger day and outcomes related to birth weight in fresh IVF and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) embryo transfer cycles?

Design: A retrospective cohort study of 9273 singleton live births born to women undergoing fresh IVF/ICSI cycles in a single centre between January 2014 and December 2018. Multivariable logistic regression was used to investigate the associations between EMT, low birth weight (LBW) and small for gestational age (SGA). Multivariable-adjusted linear regression models incorporating restricted cubic splines were used to investigate the dose-response relationship between EMT, birth weight and birth weight z-score, respectively.

We read with great interest the article by Kurt and colleagues. The authors, using microarray in clinical samples, found altered expression of lncRNAs in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) of patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD). The findings from this study may open a door to the understanding of AD pathogenesis targeted by lncRNAs.

Objective: Women with septate uteri are at risk for subfertility, recurrent miscarriage, and preterm birth. It is not clear if hysteroscopic septum resection is beneficial to subsequent in vitro fertilization-intracytoplasmic sperm injection o (IVF/ICSI) outcomes in women with primary infertility.

Study Design: We analyzed all 278 women with uterine septum and primary infertility between January 2011 and January 2019.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in hormone replacement (HT) regime for frozen thawed embryo transfer in women with endometriosis (EM). We performed a retrospective, database-search, cohort study and included data on EM patients who underwent frozen embryo transfer (FET) between January 1, 2009 and August 31, 2018. According to the protocols for FET cycle, the patients were divided into two groups: control group ( = 296) and hCG group ( = 355).
