Methods: Combination of mass cytometry on blood cells from 60 MS patients at diagnosis and 29 healthy controls, along with single cell RNA sequencing on paired blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) samples from 5 MS patients were used for myeloid cells detailing.

Results: Myeloid compartment study demonstrated an enrichment of a peculiar classical monocyte population in 22% of MS patients at the time of diagnosis.

The Qvella FAST System is a new instrument that concentrates and purifies bacteria from positive-flagged blood culture bottles (PFBCBs) to produce a "liquid" colony comparable to a subcultured colony in less than 40 min for rapid ID and calibrated antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST). Very few quantitative data exist on tramadol metabolites, which hampers our understanding of their role in efficacy and safety of tramadol. We aimed to provide quantitative data on tramadol and its 5 main metabolites in a patient cohort and to determine whether metabolite ratios can be predictive of a CYP2D6 metabolism phenotype. We also aimed to investigate the influence of co-medications and patient profile (BMI, glycemia, lipid levels) on tramadol metabolite ratios.

Case report: Fatal long-term intoxication by 2,4-dinitrophenol and anabolic steroids in a young bodybuilder with muscle dysmorphia.

A case of chronic intoxication by 2,4-dinitrophenol (2,4-DNP) is reported in a 21-year-old bodybuilder, also known as an abuser of anabolic steroids, who died after ingesting 2 grams of this substance after 6 months of repeated consumption. The bodybuilder presented the triad of symptoms - tachycardia, tachypnoea, profuse sweating - from 6 months before his death, and was hospitalised for multiple organ failure 4 months before his death. Medical staff attributed this serious episode to his consumption of 2,4-DNP.
