Background: Due to the global growth of its prevalence and its impact on patient health, obesity is considered a near-epidemic condition by the World Health Organization (WHO). Its overall prevalence has now reached 17 % in France. The impact of obesity is also a concern for pregnant women, due to the risk of maternal and fetal complications.

Background: The use of the 3D exoscope in cervicofacial reconstruction has demonstrated its effectiveness, yet few studies have compared its utility to that of the microscope.
Objective: To compare the reliability of microanastomoses performed with both tools, along with postoperative outcomes and user experience.
Patients And Methods: This was a retrospective single-center study that included all cases of microanastomosed forearm or fibula free flap reconstructions performed between June 2019 and June 2022.

Alveolar echinococcosis (AE) is a severe parasitic infection caused by the ingestion of Echinococcus multilocularis eggs. While higher incidence and faster evolution have been reported in immunosuppressed patients, no studies have been performed specifically on AE in transplant patients. We searched for all de novo AE cases diagnosed between January 2008 and August 2018 in solid organ transplant (SOT) recipients included in the Swiss Transplant Cohort Study and the FrancEchino Registry.

Background & Aims: Endoscopic ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (EUS-RFA) is emerging as a safe and effective treatment for pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. We aimed to compare EUS-RFA and surgical resection for the treatment of pancreatic insulinoma (PI).
Methods: Patients with sporadic PI who underwent EUS-RFA at 23 centers or surgical resection at 8 high-volume pancreatic surgery institutions between 2014 and 2022 were retrospectively identified and outcomes compared using a propensity-matching analysis.

Introduction: Borderline ovarian tumours (BOT) represent 10-20% of epithelial tumours of the ovary. Although their prognosis is excellent, the recurrence rate can be as high as 30%, and recurrence in the infiltrative form accounts for 3% to 5% of recurrences. Affecting, in one third of cases, women of childbearing age, the surgical strategy with ovarian conservation is now recommended despite a significant risk of recurrence.

Despite the well-demonstrated efficacy of infliximab in inflammatory diseases, treatment failure remains frequent. Dose adjustment using Bayesian methods has shown in silico its interest in achieving target plasma concentrations. However, most of the published models have not been fully validated in accordance with the recommendations.

Background: The optimal age for endorectal pull-through (ERPT) surgery in infants with short-segment Hirschsprung disease varies, with a trend toward earlier surgery. However, it is unclear if the timing of surgery impacts functional outcomes. We undertook the present study to determine the optimal timing of ERPT in infants with short-segment Hirschsprung disease.

Objective: The anthropometric characteristics of the uterus evolve with pubertal development in girls. It is therefore permissible to ask until these anthropometric characteristics change, in order to know if the cervical length criterion defined for preterm delivery threats is applicable to all ages. The main objective of our study was to analyze the evolution of cervical length with the women's age outside pregnancy to overcome factors related to pregnancy that can affect cervical length.

Importance: In MEN1 patients with gastric and duodenopancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (GPD-NET), surgery aims to control secretions or to prevent metastatic spread, but after GPD-NET resection, postoperative mortality may be related to the surgery itself or to other associated MEN1 lesions with their own uncontrolled secretions or metastatic behavior.
Objective: To analyze the causes of death within 1 year following a GPD-NET resection in MEN1 patients.
Design: An observational study collecting data from the Groupe d'étude des Tumeurs Endocrines (GTE) database.

Rectal neuroendocrine tumors (RNET) are rare tumors but their prevalence is constantly increasing due to a prolonged survival and rising incidence related to a growing number of colonoscopies and improved knowledge. Their main prognostic determinant is tumor stage. While most RNET are localized, their management should be tailored depending on the presence or absence of the factors predictive of lymph-node metastases including tumor size, endoscopic aspect, T stage, grade and lymphovascular invasion.

Introduction: Although chemotherapy combining 5-fluorouracil (5FU)-dacarbazine (DTIC) or temozolomide (TEM)-capecitabine (CAP) is extensively used in patients with neuroendocrine tumors (NET), they were never compared. We compared their tolerance and efficacy in advanced NET.
Methods: We evaluated the records of consecutive patients with pancreatic or small-intestine advanced NET who received 5FU-DTIC or TEM-CAP between July 2004 and December 2017 in 5 French centers.

Objective: To assess the distant metastatic potential of duodeno-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (DP-NETs) in patients with MEN1, according to functional status and size.
Summary Background Data: DP-NETs, with their numerous lesions and endocrine secretion-related symptoms, continue to be a medical challenge; unfortunately they can become aggressive tumors associated with distant metastasis, shortening survival. The survival of patients with large nonfunctional DP-NETs is known to be poor, but the overall contribution of DP-NETs to metastatic spread is poorly known.
