Although Emergency Medicine is now globally an established specialty, the Nordic countries have been relatively slow to implement it into their health care systems. To facilitate the development of EM in the Nordic area, a working group was formed with representation from all national EM societies; DASEM (Danish Society for Emergency Medicine), FiSEM (Finnish Society of Emergency Medicine), ISEM (Icelandic Society for Emergency Medicine), NCEM (Norwegian College of Emergency Medicine), and SWESEM (Swedish Society for Emergency Medicine). This group was tasked with creating a Nordic EM manifesto-to create a definition and developmental goals for Nordic Emergency Medicine.

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is a progressive degenerative condition of the cervical spine and the most common cause of spinal cord injury in adults >55 years of age. Degenerative changes in the spine lead to spinal cord compression, resulting in symptoms such as gait instability, loss of dexterity in the hands, weakness, and sensory deficits. Diagnosis is delayed by 2,2-6,3 years and includes clinical examination and imaging such as MRI.

Amoxicillin/clavulanate is a commonly used antibiotic. Though relatively rare, amoxicillin/clavulanate carries the highest incidence of idiosyncratic drug-induced liver disease. This case report presents an 80-year-old woman treated for simple respiratory tract infection with amoxicillin/clavulanate who was subsequently hospitalized with malaise and icterus and a biochemical cholestatic pattern with high alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin.

Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV is) a common respiratory virus responsible for considerable morbidity and mortality among infants, elderly with comorbidity, and immunocompromised adults. Two vaccines, Abrysvo and Arexvy, have been approved for prevention of severe RSV infection in adults ≥ 60 years of age. In addition, Abrysvo is approved for use during pregnancy to protect infants from RSV-associated lower respiratory tract infection.

Ordinal logistic regressions were carried out, using multiple covariates and factors.

Studies have shown, that HPV-based screening is more sensitive than cytology-based screening, but local factors will influence the performance. From January 2021 phased implementation of HPV-based screening was introduced in the Danish cervical cancer screening programme to women between 30 and 59 years. Women with even birth dates will remain on the current cytology-based screening, whereas women with odd birth dates will receive HPV-based screening.
