- This research highlights the crucial role of teacher support in Concept Development (CD) for young children, revealing a predominance of low to mid-quality classroom interactions among 171 State Pre-K/Head Start classrooms.
- The study found that while Emotional Support (ES) and Classroom Organization (CO) dimensions differed significantly across districts, the qualities of CD, Quality of Feedback (QF), and Language Modeling (LM) remained largely similar, indicating a need for improvement in instructional support.
- Despite children making some developmental gains, the data revealed concerning levels of cognitive and language skills, particularly among boys, and suggested no significant correlation between interactional quality and children's overall development.

Historically, low representation of women participants in exercise science and physiology studies has led to a lack of understanding in the response of women to exercise and therapeutic interventions. We hypothesized that ) the number of women authors, participants, and editorial board members increased over 30 years (1991-2021) and ) larger representation of women as editors and authors is associated with more women participants. Parental love promotes positive developmental outcomes among adolescents, yet knowledge about how context might influence the behaviors parents deem as loving is limited. This study examined mothers' beliefs about expressing love to adolescent children in diverse ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Participants were 60 European American, 63 African American, and 60 Latina mothers.
