Introduction: This study comprises Antimicrobial and Confocal Microscopic analysis of the efficacy of Triple Antibiotic and Toluidine Blue (TBO) loaded chitosan nanoparticles (chnp) activated with photodynamic therapy (PDT) against (Ef).
Methodology: 105 single-rooted extracted teeth were decoronated, cleaned and shaped, and incubated with Ef. The roots were randomly divided into three groups: Group I-Control, Group II-Triple Antibiotic Paste (TAP), Group III: Triple antibiotic-loaded chitosan nanoparticles (tachnp), and Group IV: Tachnp and TBO loaded chnp activated with PDT.

Background: Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is a premalignant condition with a greater prevalence in countries such as India. Various classifications have been put forth by multiple authors to determine the clinical, functional, and histopathological grade of the disease. The classification systems have greatly helped to determine the treatment modality for the patients.

Background: Dental caries begins with the decalcification of the first nonorganic part, followed by the decay of the organic tooth matrix. Minimally invasive dentistry (MID) focuses on using the adhesive technique for restoration as these techniques allow minimum removal of healthy tooth structure.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the attitude, knowledge, and behavior of the general dentists toward the use of MID and to evaluate if MID is considered as standard care measure among general dentists.

The purpose of the systematic review and meta-analysis was to analyze the existing evidence regarding the effect of crown-to-implant ratio (CIR) on the peri-implant crestal bone level change and implant survival. Randomized controlled clinical trials, prospective as well as retrospective studies with a minimum follow-up period of 12 months and 10 patients per group were included for this systematic review. Statistical analysis was performed to determine CIR effects on the peri-implant marginal bone level changes and implant survival.

Dental implants have been in used as a successful mode of rehabilitation of lost dentition for over three decades. Science and techniques have undergone significant progress with time and clinical situations that were deemed unfit for insertion of dental implants due to lack of sufficient bone are now being treated using implants with predictable long term results. Clinicians can now rehabilitate the posterior maxilla with a wide variety of implant-based solutions.

Aim: To evaluate the sealing ability of three different types of sealers using confocal laser microscopy.
Materials And Methods: Sixty extracted single-root premolars were selected and divided into three groups (20 teeth in each group) according to the type of sealer used, namely, mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) Fillapex, AH Plus, and Bio C Sealer. Root canal preparation and obturation were done in all the samples.

Background: Accurate working length (WL) determination is necessary in achieving optimal healing by non-surgical root canal therapy in teeth with inflammatory apical root resorption. Electronic apex locators (EALs) are one of the mainstays in determination of WL of teeth.
Aim: This study evaluated the accuracy of three EALs [RootZX (third generation), iPex (fourth generation) and Raypex 6 (modification of a fifth generation)] in determining the WL of teeth with simulated apical root resorption in permanent teeth.

Glass ionomer cement is a widely used luting agent for indirect restorations but presents inferior mechanical properties compared to resin cement due to its low elastic modulus. This study evaluated the mechanical and adhesion properties of glass ionomer luting cements reinforced with nano-sized hydroxyapatite particles (HA). The nano-sized HA particles were synthesized using the co-precipitation technique and the resulting precipitate was characterized using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), field emission scanning electron (FESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM).

The combination of mandibular prognathism with anterior open bite poses a distinct challenge, often requiring both orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery. In adults, effective treatment has traditionally involved two-jaw surgery and superior repositioning of the maxilla with a Le Fort I osteotomy to close the anterior open bite, which reduces the anterior facial height by rotating the mandible upward and forward. This is often combined with a bilateral sagittal split osteotomy of the mandible to correct the mandibular protrusion.

Osteomyelitis is an infection that is challenging to manage due to the poor vascularization of bone that favors the proliferation of microorganisms. We report a case of osteomyelitis occurring in endodontically treated teeth in the maxillary palatal region. Clinically and radiographically, it was initially diagnosed as osteomyelitis and was treated accordingly with antibiotics for 1 year with no reported healing.
