The disease is characterized by the occurrence of neurological symptoms over a period of days to weeks, abide by partial or absolute diminutions of various durations. In this review, a concise outline on disease activity and progression of MS, pathogenesis with the special prominence on the biomarkers for the MS as therapeutic targets has been discussed by carrying out a comprehensive literature survey employing chief websites and search engines for investigation.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is believed to be one of the commonly found adult-onset movement disorder occurring due to neurodegeneration and striatal dopamine deficiency. Although clinical diagnosis depends on the occurrence of bradykinesia and other cardinal motor features, PD is linked with many non-motor symptoms that are responsible for overall disability. Among several factors, genetic and environment-related factors are thought to be the major ones accountable for PD.

Targeted drug delivery plays a significant role in disease treatment associated with the colon, affording therapeutic responses for a prolonged period of time with low side effects. Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in both men and women with an estimated 102,480 cases of colon cancer and 40,340 cases of rectal cancer in 2013 as reported by the American Cancer Society. In the present investigation, we developed an improved oral delivery system for existing anticancer drugs meant for colon cancer via prebiotic and probiotic approaches.
