We developed and tested the Indian Autism Screening Questionnaire (IASQ), which was reported to be reliable and valid as compared to the Indian Scale for Assessment of Autism (ISAA) and the Childhood Autism Rating Scale -2 (CARS2). The present study describes the feasibility, acceptability, sociodemographic and developmental details of IASQ study participants in 5 settings- a psychiatry outpatients' clinic (n = 145), a specialised paediatric clinic (n = 24), a speciality disability centre (n = 174), a primary school (n = 41) and a government housing colony (n = 255). The IASQ could be easily administered and understood.

The emotion processing and regulation mechanisms by which dispositional (personality trait) mindfulness exerts its positive effects on mental health remain unclear. Here, we tested, using structural equation modeling, whether the relationship between higher dispositional mindfulness and better mental health is mediated by reduced maladaptive processing of emotional information (e.g.

Background: The American Society of Haematology defines immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) as a common hematologic disorder characterized by a transient or long-term decrease in platelet counts (< 100 × 109/L.), purpura, and haemorrhagic episodes caused by antiplatelet autoantibodies, with the exclusion of other clinical conditions. We aimed to systematically determine the incidence of ITP in adults and children following influenza vaccination, the duration between vaccination and the occurrence of ITP, and to identify predictors of ITP after the vaccine.

Purpose: A rise in the need of preoperative CT assessment of proximal tibial intra-articular fractures has given rise to an increased load of radiation exposure. This comparative study aims at assessing the efficacy of low dose CT scan by collating images of tibial plateau fractures produced by low dose CT scan with that of conventional dose CT scan. Furthermore, the study aims at computing the comprehensive reduction in the effective dosage of radiation when low dose CT scan is employed for assessing these fractures.

The effect of osmotic pressure treatment (OPT), heat moisture treatment (HMT), and their dual combination as HMT-OPT and OPT-HMT on functional and pasting properties, gel texture, crystallinity, thermal, morphological, and rheological properties, and in vitro digestibility of modified starches were investigated. HMT was done with 29 % moisture at 111 °C for 45 min while OPT was performed at 117 °C for 35 min with saturated sodium sulphate solution. All modifications increased amylose content, improved pasting stability, and reduced swelling power and solubility.

Magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) play a vital role in heterogeneous catalysis because of their easy separation, and effective recyclability. Herein, we report the synthesis of MnFeO NPs for use as catalysts in the selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde under mild conditions. The MnFeO NPs have been synthesized by precipitation method followed by hydrothermal ageing at 180 °C for 4.

More than half of Bhutan's under-five mortality is attributed to neonatal deaths. Despite this, there is a lack of local evidence on determinants of neonatal mortality. It is critical to generate new evidence to accelerate interventions to achieve sufficient reduction of neonatal mortality rate in line to sustainable development goal target 3.

Over the years, several studies have revealed an important link between thyroid disorders and gallstone disease. According to these studies, hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism are associated with cholesterol gallstone disease. This association between thyroid hormone disorders and cholesterol gallstone disease is due to the importance of thyroid hormones on cholesterol synthesis, bile functioning and content, and gallbladder motility.

Dengue virus (DENV) is an arbovirus that comprises four antigenically different serotypes. Aedes aegypti (Diptera: Culicidae) acts as the principal vector for DENV transmission, and vector control is crucial for dengue fever epidemic management. To design effective vector control strategies, a comprehensive understanding of the insect vector and virus interaction is required.

Background And Aim: Low serum Vitamin D levels have been associated with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Our study aimed to analyse the serum levels of vitamin D in patients suffering from DN and the subsequent changes in serum vitamin D levels as the disease progresses.
Methods: PubMed, Embase, SCOPUS and Web of Science were searched using keywords such as '25 hydroxyvitamin D' and 'diabetic nephropathy'.

This research investigates the influence of halide-based methylammonium-based perovskites as the active absorber layer (PAL) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Using SCAPS-1D simulation software, the study optimizes PSC performance by analyzing PAL thickness, temperature, and defect density impact on output parameters. PAL thickness analysis reveals that increasing thickness enhances for MAPbI and MAPbIBr, while that of MAPbBr remains steady.

The in situ formation of a heterostructure delivers superior electrochemical properties as compared to the mechanical mixing, which shows great promise for developing new electrolytes for solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). Herein, in an SOFC constructed by the BaNbO electrolyte and NiCoAlLiO anode, an in situ formation of BaCoNbO/BaNbO heterostructure is designed by Co-ion diffusion from the anode to the electrolyte during cell operation, resulting in improved ion conductivity and fuel cell performance. An abnormal phenomenon is observed that the SOFC based on the BaCoNbO/BaNbO electrolyte delivered a peak power density of 703 mW/cm at 510 °C, which is higher than that at 550 °C.

Background: The complication of Diabetes is one of the important health issues among the older adult population in any region. The higher risks of diabetes prevalence among older adult people in the countries was due to social-cultural changes such as increasing urbanization, dietary changes, without physical activity, and unhealthy lifestyle behavior. The present study examines the prevalence and associated risk factors of diabetes among older adults in the state of West Bengal.

Thrombotic microangiopathy encompasses a wide range of conditions, of which thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura being a medical emergency requires prompt intervention, with schistocytes being a reliable morphological indicator of microvascular injury. However, there are conditions other than thrombotic microangiopathic anemia where schistocytes can be seen in large numbers. These nonthrombotic microangiopathic conditions are broadly grouped under cytoskeletal abnormalities, mechanical damage, and thermal injuries.

Here we report the development of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) based self-powered human motion detector with chemically developed Au-g-CN/ZnO based nanocomposite on common cellulose paper platform. Compared to bare g-CN, the nanocomposite in the form of hierarchical morphology is found to exhibit higher output voltage owing to the contribution of Au and ZnO in increasing the dielectric constant and surface roughness. While generating power ∼3.

Drying is an energy-intensive process that can be reduced by the application of pretreatment prior to drying to enhance mass transfer and minimize energy consumption. This review summarizes the mechanistic aspects and applications of emerging pretreatment approaches, namely ohmic heating (OH), ultrasound (US), high pressure processing (HPP), and pulsed electric field (PEF), with emphasis on the enhancement of mass transfer and quality attributes of foods. Novel pretreatments significantly improved the drying efficiency by increasing mass transfer, cavitation, and microchannel formation within the cell structure.
