Introduction Early postoperative pain poses a challenge for surgeons to manage after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Various techniques have been employed to optimize pain reduction, including Periarticular Multimodal Analgesia (PMA), recognized as a safe and effective method. Our study aims to enhance PMA through a combined intraosseous injection (PMA-I) and compare it with standard PMA.

Background: Cesarean delivery rates have increased globally resulting in a public health concern. We estimate rates of cesarean deliveries among Thai women using the World Health Organization (WHO) Robson Classification system and compare rates by Robson group to the Robson guideline for acceptable rates to identify groups that might benefit most from interventions for rate reduction.
Methods: In 2017 and 2018, we established cohorts of pregnant women aged ≥ 18 years seeking prenatal care at two tertiary Thai hospitals and followed them until 6-8 weeks postpartum.

Introduction: The EVEREST II study previously reported that intravitreally administered ranibizumab (IVR) combined with photodynamic therapy (PDT) achieved superior visual gain and polypoidal lesion closure compared to IVR alone in patients with polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). This follow-up study reports the long-term outcomes 6 years after initiation of the EVEREST II study.
Methods: This is a non-interventional cohort study of 90 patients with PCV from 16 international trial sites who originally completed the EVEREST II study.

Objective: Self- collected specimens to detect high-risk (hr) HPV and high-grade cervical lesions (CIN2+) has been introduced aiming to increase cervical cancer screening coverage. The performance of self- collected specimen compared to clinician collected specimen is one major concern. This study aimed to compare self-sampling HPV-DNA and clinician-sampling HPV-mRNA to detect hr-HPV and high-grade cervical lesions.

Background: The aim of the study was to assess the effect of multicentricity on the recurrence/persistence of high-grade vulvar intraepithelial neoplasia (VIN) and vaginal intraepithelial neoplasia (VAIN) after laser vaporization.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on patients diagnosed with high-grade VIN/VAIN, who had undergone laser vaporization between 1997 and 2014. Recurrence/persistence rates and factors affecting recurrence/persistence were analyzed, and a life table analysis of recurrence-free intervals was conducted.

Hypertriglyceridemia and decreased high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) persist despite statin therapy, contributing to residual atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk. Asian subjects are metabolically more susceptible to hypertriglyceridemia than other ethnicities. Fenofibrate regulates hypertriglyceridemia, raises HDL-C levels, and is a recommended treatment for dyslipidemia.

Metabolic-associated fatty-liver disease (MAFLD), previously known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, is the most widespread and emerging chronic liver disease worldwide, with increasing prevalence rates also in the Asia-Pacific region. The disease has a high socio-economic burden as it negatively impacts the finances and quality of life of individuals affected and has a major burden on healthcare systems. The most important pathological event in MAFLD aetiopathogenesis is oxidative stress, which leads to functional and structural abnormalities in the liver as well as being involved in the development of other concomitant cardiometabolic diseases.

Purpose: Little is known regarding the comparative analyses of the medium-term outcomes (with a mean minimum follow-up period of 24 months), between arthroscopic and open repairs of lateral ligament complex (LLC) injuries of the ankle. Thus, in this study, we aimed to explore the comparative analyses regarding the medium-term follow-up outcomes of these repairs, by conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods: The systematic review and meta-analysis were performed as per the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines; data were extracted from the PubMed and Google Scholar databases.

Methods: A total of 131 singleton nulliparous women without pre-existing UI who attended the antenatal clinic at Rajavithi Hospital between August 2019 and May 2020 were randomly allocated into PFMT (n=63) or usual care (n=68; controls). The PFMT group watched the video education and was taught to contract the pelvic floor muscle.

Introduction: The gold standard treatment for indirect traumatic optic neuropathy (ITON) has not yet been conclusively established, and it is essential to gain an understanding of visual prognosis and to counsel patients regarding the predictive risk factors of poor visual outcomes. Currently, there is limited information regarding ITON in Thai populations; therefore, this study aimed to determine the risk factors of poor visual outcome in patients with this condition.
Methods: A retrospective review was conducted of all ITON cases diagnosed at Rajavithi Hospital and Sawanpracharak Hospital between January 2016 and December 2022 in order to determine clinical characteristics and evaluate associated risk factors of poor visual prognosis using binary logistic regression analysis.

Purpose: Real-world evaluation of a deep learning model that prioritizes patients based on risk of progression to moderate or worse (MOD+) diabetic retinopathy (DR).
Methods: This nonrandomized, single-arm, prospective, interventional study included patients attending DR screening at four centers across Thailand from September 2019 to January 2020, with mild or no DR. Fundus photographs were input into the model, and patients were scheduled for their subsequent screening from September 2020 to January 2021 in order of predicted risk.

Objective: The ventriculoatrial (VA) shunt is a surgical intervention used to manage hydrocephalus, although it is less often utilized compared to the ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt or endoscopic third ventriculostomy. Placement of the distal catheter typically involves the utilization of either the common facial vein (CFV) or the internal jugular vein (IJV), 2 frequently employed options for venous access. This study aims to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between the long-term patency (2 years) of the distal end of the VA shunt of these 2 options.
