The approach involved careful diagnosis, root canal therapy, and the creation of provisional restorations, monitored through an occlusal splint.

The purpose of this review was to identify cross-cultural and psychometric characteristics of the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Head and neck cancer questionnaire (EORTC QLQ-H&N35) in various languages. A literature search was performed for original papers in PubMed, EMBASE, and Google scholar electronic databases on validation, psychometric properties of the EORTC-H&N35 questionnaire for patients with head and neck cancer. A total of 17 papers had been reviewed systematically.

Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) collectively refers to a series of episodes that reshape polarized, intact epithelial cells into discrete motile cells that can conquer the extracellular matrix (ECM). It performs a pivotal role in embryonic development, wound healing, and tissue repair. Surprisingly, the exact mechanism can also lead to the onset of malignancy and organ fibrosis contributing to scar formation and loss of function.

Comparative Evaluation of the Clinical Efficacy of Four Different Gingival Retraction Systems: An In Vivo Study.

Introduction: There are numerous gingival retraction systems available on the market. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of four gingival retraction systems, namely, impregnated retraction cord, gingival retraction capsule, retraction paste, and polyvinyl acetate strips.

Methods: A total of 20 people were chosen for the study, and 100 specimens were collected.

Heaviness of Smoking Index versus Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence among Current Smokers of Ahmedabad City, India.

Background: The purpose of this research was to compare Heaviness of Smoking Index (HSI), high early smoking, and heavy smoking with the Fagerstrom Test for Nicotine Dependence (FTND) and further to evaluate the sensitivity of HSI, high early smoking, and heavy smoking among existing smokers.

Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted by using FTND questionnaire among 200 existing smokers. The cut-off point for HSI was kept at 4; high early smokers and heavy smokers were classified as those individuals who smoked within 30 minutes after waking up and individuals who smoked 30 cigarettes or more daily, respectively.
