Evaluation of bone stimulation by different designs of microthreaded implants in enhancing osseointegration: An in vivo animal study supported by a numerical analysis.

Background: An optimal shape of the thread design of the implants is required for equal distribution of stresses to the surrounding bone matrix and for stimulation and promotion of bone remodeling.

Purpose: The study was construed with the aim of histomorphometric evaluation of bone stimulation generated by different microthread designed implants in enhancing osseointegration, and to assess the pattern of stress dissipation through a two-dimensional finite element analysis.

Materials And Methods: Computer Aided Designing of two type of microthreads, one V-shaped and the other Power-shaped microthreaded dental implants with only microthreads all along body of the implant from the neck to the apex was made and 30 implant prototypes were milled.

Unusual Case of Acquired Capillary Hemangioma of the Eyelid in an Adult.

Acquired capillary hemangioma of the eyelid is very uncommon in adults. To our knowledge, only eight such cases have been reported in the literature till date. We report the case of a 25-year-old female with acquired capillary hemangioma of the left lower eyelid treated by cutting diathermy followed by reconstruction of the cutaneous and cartilaginous defect.

Concurrent central odontogenic fibroma and dentigerous cyst in the maxilla: A rare case report.

Central odontogenic fibroma (COF) represents a rare group of benign odontogenic tumor, while dentigerous cyst (DC), on the other hand, is the odontogenic cyst that encloses the crown of an unerupted tooth. An iris positioning device and centering approach: A technique.

For patients who have lost an eye as result of trauma or a carcinoma, accurate replacement with an ocular prosthesis that is symmetrical to the natural eye is essential. This report describes a technique for recording the measurement and position of the iris of the natural eye and accurately transferring it to the prosthetic eye of the patient.
