Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is characterized by heterogeneity of possible cardiovascular manifestations. Spontaneous coronary artery dissection is a rare cause of acute coronary syndrome, the development of which in patients with COVID-19 has been described and studied insufficiently. A 35-year-old male patient presented to our hospital with an acute coronary syndrome a few weeks after mild COVID-19.

Presented herein is original experience in using a technique of arterialization in patients with critical lower limb ischaemia on the background of diffuse multilevel occlusive lesions of femoral, crural arteries and arteries of the foot in 214 patients. We used a new method of treatment by means of oxygenation of the sural group of muscles and the foot through the small saphenous vein and indirect communicating veins. This method does not require destruction of the valvular apparatus of the communicants themselves, promoting opening of previously not functioning ones, as well as appears to be a powerful stimulus for the development of collateral circulation of the extremity.

Aim: The study aim was to perform a meta-analysis based on the results of randomized clinical trials comparing long-term outcomes of total intervertebral disc arthroplasty (TA) and anterior cervical spinal fusion (ACSF) in the surgical treatment of cervical degenerative disc disease.
Material And Methods: We searched Pubmed, EMBASE, ELibrary, and Cochrane Library databases for randomized clinical trials reported between 2008 and August 2018. The relative risk and 95% confidence interval were calculated for dichotomous variables; for continuous variables, we used the standardized mean difference and their 95% CI with application of a random effects model.

The purpose of the study was a comparative analysis of the clinical and radiographic efficacy of minimally invasive rigid stabilization techniques and the traditional open interbody fusion with transpedicular fixation in the treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis in elderly patients. The study included 65 elderly patients (over 60 years old) divided into 2 groups: the 1st group (MIS-TLIF, n=31), who underwent minimally invasive transforaminal interbody fusion, unilateral open contralateral transcutaneous transpedicular stabilization; the 2nd group (O-TLIF, n=34), operated using rigid stabilization from the median approach. For the comparative analysis, gender characteristics (gender, age), constitutional features (height, weight, body mass index), ASA physical status, intraoperative parameters of interventions and specificity of postoperative management of patients, clinical data, radiographic outcomes, complications were used.

The work was performed on the basis of the medical records over 2014-2016, retrospectively analysing cases of STEAMI: a total of 131 lethal outcomes regardless of reperfusion therapy and 1,004 patients having survived after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The data statistically significantly (p<0.

Stenting of the iliac veins in patients with post-thrombotic syndrome is an intervention associated with a low risk of complications, high primary and secondary patency rates, low incidence of restenosis, leading to a significant decrease in the severity of symptoms of chronic venous disease and a high rate of trophic ulcer healing, as compared with conservative therapy. Unlike subcutaneous veins, the formation of calcinates in deep veins after endured thrombosis is of considerably less frequent occurrence. Described in the article is a clinical case report concerning successful stenting of the iliofemoral venous segment in a female patient presenting with post-thrombotic syndrome, a trophic ulcer of the crus, and the presence of linear calcinosis in the lumen of the iliac veins and common femoral vein.

Analysed herein are one-year results of formation of arteriovenous fistulas in 109 patients with end-stage chronic renal failure, as well as therapeutic decision-making after angiosurgical counselling of 144 patients presenting with 'problem' permanent vascular accesses. The counselling and formation of arteriovenous fistulas were carried out in conditions of interdepartmental collaboration between outpatient centres dealing with haemodialysis and vascular surgeons specialized in ultrasound mapping of peripheral vessels and performing different variants of arteriovenous fistulas. The angiosurgical care was as close to the patient as possible.

Introduction: A rupture of the membranous part of trachea during thoracoscopic and transhiatal resection of esophagus is a rare complication that occurs in 0.4% of cases. This complication often requires thoracotomy and is associated with prolonged pulmonary ventilation, long-term pleural draining due to persistent air leakage and development of a tracheopleural fistula, prolonged hospitalization, and high risk of septic and secondary cardiorespiratory complications.

With an increase in the average life expectancy of the population, some histological types of symptomatic IEMT are more common in elderly and senile patients. Of the 45 patients included in the study, 27 (60%) patients underwent a microneurosurgical resection of the tumor tissue using minimally invasive techniques (minimally invasive group) and 18 (40%) to patients using the classical open method (open group). The duration of operative intervention in both cohorts of respondents is comparable and is 245,4±117,1 min and 261,1±108,6 min for open and minimally invasive groups, respectively (p=0,71).

Neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) of the digestive system are composed of cells with a neuroendocrine phenotype. These tumors produce and secrete peptide hormones and biogenic amines and they are called neuroendocrine neoplasms because of the marker proteins that they share with the neural cell system. The classification and nomenclature used to designate NENs have undergone changes over the past decades due to the accumulation of evidence related to the biological characteristics and their evolution.

Unlabelled: Spinal surgery in patients with overweight and obesity is associated with an increased risk of perioperative complications. Minimally invasive (MIS-TLIF) and traditional (O-TLIF) techniques of rigid stabilization are extensively used, but the advantages and disadvantages of MIS-TLIF in patients with an elevated body mass index (BMI) remain controversial.
Aim: The study aim was to assess the efficacy of a new low-invasive rigid fixation technique and traditional open spinal fusion in surgical treatment of degenerative lumbar spine diseases in patients with overweight and obesity.

Introduction: Complicated esophageal diverticulum is an extremely rare disease. The most widespread surgical tactic in such cases is drainage of the mediastinum and the position of a feeding gastrostomy or enterostomy. Our objective was to demonstrate the possibility of performing a one-step operation in case of giant esophageal diverticulum with necrotic diverticulitis and sepsis on the background of dilatation of the esophagus.
