Introduction: This prospective, observational study investigated the impact of patient/anesthesiologist interactions and socioeconomic factors on administering intravenous analgesics and anxiolytics during elective Cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia. Methods: A nationwide retrospective analysis of individuals with a history of GDM and with records of both postpartum 2 h-OGTT and serum HbA1c measured anytime between delivery until 12 months post-delivery. Results were stratified into 3 different intervals: 0-3 months, 3-12 months, and > 12 months after delivery, according to the timing of both OGTT and HbA1c performance.

A Case of Post-TAVI: Left Septal Fascicular Block & Right Bundle Branch Block.

This paper describes a case of patient post-TAVI who developed Left Septal Fascicular Block (LSFB) and Right Bundle Branch Block (RBBB). This combination has not been previously reported and must be actively sought out, given the possible increased risk of complete atrioventricular block and sudden cardiac death. RBBB following transcatheter aortic valve replacement is rare and is associated with complete atrioventricular block and permanent pacemaker implantation.

It explores the role of enhanced consent processes in urology. A re-evaluation of the conventional consent process is required towards more patient-centred care and SDM, which prioritises patient education and understanding of their medical conditions and treatment pathways.

GPATCH11 variants cause mis-splicing and early-onset retinal dystrophy with neurological impairment.

Here we conduct a study involving 12 individuals with retinal dystrophy, neurological impairment, and skeletal abnormalities, with special focus on GPATCH11, a lesser-known G-patch domain-containing protein, regulator of RNA metabolism. To elucidate its role, we study fibroblasts from unaffected individuals and patients carrying the recurring c.328+1 G > T mutation, which specifically removes the main part of the G-patch domain while preserving the other domains.
