Nasotracheal intubation can be challenging due to undesirable incidence of nasal bleeding and soft tissue injuries. The bleeding can obscure glottis visualisation, increase the total intubation time, the risk of aspiration and oxygen desaturation. Total control introducer is a new airway adjunct with a flexible shaft, articulating tip and an intuitive depth control system, which can be used in difficult airway scenarios to improve the success of nasal intubations.

Histoplasmosis is a systemic fungal disease that may be presented with a variety of clinical manifestations, usually as an opportunistic infection in immunocompromised individuals. We present an HIV seropositive patient with a large fleshy growth causing left-sided nasal obstruction, as an unusual presentation. The lesions shrunk dramatically and almost completely on intravenous amphotericin-B lipid complex (ABLC) given for 2 weeks followed by long-term oral itraconazole.

Bullous pemphigoid (BP) is an autoimmune disorder known to be mediated by immunoglobulin G (IgG) autoantibodies. The role of immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies is being investigated as their presence has been described in severe cases. Herein, we report a patient of BP who was refractory to most conventional agents and developed hypotension after rituximab but achieved lasting remission after a single dose of the anti-IgE monoclonal antibody omalizumab.

The utility of hydroxychloroquine for the prophylaxis and treatment of alarmingly rising COVID-19 infection has been widely explored in several studies. However, its cutaneous adverse effects among health care workers and COVID patients taking prophylactic doses has not been reported. We report cases of palmoplantar among health care workers who were on prophylactic doses of hydroxychloroquine and their management with cetirizine and methylprednisolone.

Introduction: Non-progress of labour forms the largest indication caesarean section. The diagnosis of failure of descent using serial digital examination is objective, poor reproducibility, carries the risk of infection and is painful to the labouring patient. There is a need if not an alternative, adjunctive to digital vaginal examination.

While Type 1 reaction in Hansen's disease is commonly encountered, the triggers and reasons for its persistence are not well understood even though the immunological milieu and cytokine interplay have been studied. Herein, we present a case of Type 1 downgrading reaction in which multidrug resistance was the probable cause of steroid-nonresponsiveness and which responded promptly on starting alternate antileprosy treatment.

There has been a considerable upsurge of extensive, treatment recalcitrant, dermatophytosis presenting as tinea corporis and tinea cruris in India since the past few years. Genome analysis of Trichophytonspecies causing severe superficial dermatophytosis in North India confirmed a unique clade related to the T.mentagrophytes/interdigitale complex, seeming to belong to an early diverging clade of the complex.

Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker which is widely used as an antihypertensive drug. Amlodipine overdose have been infrequently reported with occurrence of serious complications and even death in a few cases. We report an interesting case of a young lady who presented with refractory shock with acute kidney injury, which did not respond to therapy despite optimal fluid replacement and vasopressor support.

Background: Itraconazole (ITZ) is widely used for cutaneous and systemic mycoses. Its bioavailability is inconsistent and shows interindividual variations. The quality of ITZ pellets is an important factor determining its absorption profile and thereby the therapeutic effect.

Background: In the current era, the use of electronic media in the form of Internet has increased exponentially, particularly among children, and has led to their excessive involvement in Internet. In this context, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) children were found to have increased tendency for this addiction.
Aims And Objectives: The aim is to study and compare Internet addiction between ADHD and normal children and the relation of demographic profile to Internet addiction.

In the last few years, infections caused by dermatophytes along with a concomitant increase in the number of difficult to treat cases have increasingly been recognised, indicating that dermatophytosis remains a challenging public health problem. The majority of infections are caused by Trichophyton rubrum and Trichophyton mentagrophytes complex. Terbinafine, an allylamine antifungal used orally and topically is considered to be a first-line drug in the therapy of dermatophyte infections.

Asymptomatic, juxta-articular nodules are an uncommon morphology, which is usually diagnosed as xanthomas, calcinosis cutis or rheumatoid nodules. This study was represented as a case of gout, which is a disorder of purine metabolism resulting in elevation of serum uric acid and deposition of monosodium urate crystals within and around joints and manifests clinically as inflammatory arthritis. Urate crystal deposits have also been found in tendons, ligaments, viscera, and the skin, with the term "tophi" being used for the non-articular deposits.

Introduction: Understanding of anatomical vascular patterns and anatomy of prepuce is critical for a good outcome in hypospadias surgery. A well-vascularized neourethral and preputial flaps used for repair are exceptionally important for a successful outcome, especially in cases of proximal hypospadias undergoing one-stage procedures.
Objective: To evaluate the vascular anatomy of prepuce in cases of proximal hypospadias and to evaluate microvessel density (MVD) by immunohistochemistry and its correlation with postoperative complications.

Melasma is one of the most common hyperpigmentary disorders found mainly in women and dark-skinned patients. Sunlight, hormones, pregnancy, and genetics remain the most implicated in the causation of melasma. Although rather recalcitrant to treatment, topical agents such as hydroquinone, modified Kligman's Regime, azelaic acid, kojic acid, Vitamin C, and arbutin still remain the mainstay of therapy with sun protection being a cornerstone of therapy.

The incidence of non dermatophytic mould (NDM) onychomycosis (OM) has been steadily increasing Fusarium spp is the most common cause of NDM OM in most geographical locations. Fusarium spp and other NDMs are largely resistant to commonly used anti-fungals. The successful use of laser and light based devices has been demonstrated in dermatophytic OM, but there is no previous report of their successful use in any NDM OM.
