Hair follicle growth process through several well-organized stages with specific input by several signaling pathways including Wnt/β-catenin and Sonic Hedgehog with GSK3β in this process. As such, this research focus on investigating the efficacy of molecules that are able to inhibit GSK3β action in inducing hair regrowth. Applying computational techniques, three compounds NMN, Resveratrol and EGCG were analyzed for their GSK3β inhibition.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one of the leading causes of cognitive decline, which leads to dementia and poses significant challenges for its therapy. The reason is primarily the ineffective available treatments targeting the underlying pathology of AD. It is a neurodegenerative disease that is mainly characterised by the various molecular pathways contributing to its complex pathology, including extracellular amyloid beta (Aβ) plaques, intracellular neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs), oxidative stress, and neuroinflammation.

Background: Polypharmacy is common among hospitalized patients with infectious infections owing to comorbidities or concurrent illnesses. This raises the likelihood of drug-drug interactions and creates uncertainty for healthcare providers. This study aimed to assess the potential drug-drug interactions (pDDIs) among hospitalized patients with infectious diseases in a secondary care hospital.

Statins are a class of hypolipidemic agents that have been shown to promote osteogenic differentiation through enhanced alveolar bone recovery, inserted osseointegration, and cartilage regeneration. This review uses Molecular Docking (MD) simulations and additional Computer- Aided Drug Design (CADD) methods to present the state of the art in statin therapy. Furthermore, several studies have shown that factors such as limited overall absorption, metabolism in the first pass, and systemic side effects are among those that affect the oral administration of statins.

Alzheimer's Disease (AD), a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, is characterized by the accumulation of neurofibrillary tangles and β-amyloid plaques, leading to a decline in cognitive function. AD is characterized by tau protein hyperphosphorylation and extracellular β-amyloid accumulation. Even after much research, there are still no proven cures for AD.

Just as overweight and obesity may impair immunity, excessive body weight-related parameters of women in the pre-conception period and during pregnancy are possible detrimental factors for fetal programming of the immune system in their offspring. We investigated the relationship of pre-pregnancy body mass index (pBMI) and gestational weight gain (GWG) of mothers with the placental transport rate (PTR) of IgG antibodies and antineutrophil cytoplasmatic antibodies against lactoferrin (Lf-ANCA) and their concentration in umbilical cord blood serum (UCS), verifying the sex-specificity of this relationship. The examined group of this cross-sectional pilot study consisted of 101 pregnant women and their healthy CS-delivered newborn children.

Extensive investigation has been conducted on plant-based resources for their pharmacological usefulness, including various cancer types. The scope of this review is wider than several studies with a particular focus on breast cancer, which is an international health concern while studying sources of flavonoids, carotenoids, polyphenols, saponins, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, and glycosides apart from focusing on nursing. Important findings from prior studies are synthesized to explore these compounds' sources, mechanisms of action, complementary and synergistic effects, and associated side effects.

The American Association for the Surgery of Trauma initially published the organ injury scaling for the kidney in 1989, which was subsequently updated in 2018. This current American Association for the Surgery of Trauma kidney organ injury scaling update incorporates the latest evidence in diagnosis and management of renal trauma and is based upon a multidisciplinary consensus. These changes reflect the near universal use of computed tomography for renal trauma evaluation and the widespread adoption of conservative management across all grades of renal trauma.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have advanced the treatment of metastatic melanoma. However, some patients develop ICI-associated toxicities like hepatitis (ie, immune-mediated hepatitis; IMH). Although these toxicities usually resolve with steroids, steroid-refractory events may occur, which may be a major source of morbidity and mortality without obviously defined treatment algorithms.
