Objective: The main objective of this study was to explore and identify new genetic targets in small-cell lung cancer (SCLC) through transcriptomics analysis and Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis, which will help in the subsequent development of new therapeutic interventions.
Methods: In this study, we extracted the SCLC dataset from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database, processed the data, and screened out differentially expressed genes (DEGs) using R software. Based on expression quantitative trait loci data and the genome-wide association study data of SCLC, MR analysis was used to screen the genes closely related to SCLC disease, which intersect with DEGs to obtain co-expressed genes (CEGs), and the biological functions and pathways of CEGs were further explored by enrichment analysis.

Background: External jugular vein (EJV) is used to insert tunneled dialysis catheter (TDC) in patients with no AVF and exhausted right internal jugular veins (IJV). There is scarce data on TDC insertion in EJV by nephrologists with fluoroscopy guidance.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective observational study that included hemodialysis patients with exhausted right IJV access who underwent EJV TDC insertion, and excluded occluded ipsilateral brachiocephalic vein or superior vena cava, EJV < 5 mm diameter, or patients with existing EJV TDC.
Spectral analysis is a widely used method for monitoring photosynthetic capacity. However, vegetation indices-based linear regression exhibits insufficient utilization of spectral information, while full spectra-based traditional machine learning has limited representational capacity (partial least squares regression) or uninterpretable (convolution). In this study, we proposed a deep learning model with enhanced interpretability based on attention and vegetation indices calculation for global spectral feature mining to accurately estimate photosynthetic capacity.

Objective: To develop a deep learning (DL) model for carotid plaque detection based on CTA images and evaluate the clinical application feasibility and value of the model.
Methods: We retrospectively collected data from patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaques who underwent continuous CTA examinations of the head and neck at a tertiary hospital from October 2020 to October 2022. The model combined ResUNet with the Pyramid Scene Parsing Network (PSPNet) to enhance plaque segmentation.
