Large-scale phenotyping using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has been considered an important tool for plant selection. This study aimed to estimate the correlations between agronomic data and vegetation indices (VIs) obtained at different flight heights and to select prediction models to evaluate the potential use of aerial imaging in cassava breeding programs. Various VIs were obtained and analyzed using mixed models to derive the best linear unbiased predictors, heritability parameters, and correlations with various agronomic traits.

In agricultural production, droughts occurring during the crucial growth periods of crops hinder crop development, while the daily-scale standardized precipitation evapotranspiration index () can be applied to accurately identify the drought characteristics. In this study, we used the statistical downscaling method to obtain the daily precipitation (), maximum air temperature () and minimum air temperature () during the rice growing season in Heilongjiang Province from 2015 to 2100 under the SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.

is one the most commonly cultivated ornamental plant of economic importance and faces major challenges under heat stress. Melatonin has been widely shown to regulate plant stress response; however, the exact mechanism involved in heat stress in has yet to be determined. Here, we observed that in vitro plantlets supplemented with melatonin in the culture medium exhibited higher chlorophyll content, relative ion leakage, and fresh weight after 12 d of high-temperature treatment; the optimal concentration was established at 5 mg/L.

Accurate photosynthetic parameters obtained from photosynthetic light-response curves (LRCs) are crucial for enhancing our comprehension of plant photosynthesis. However, the task of fitting LRCs is still demanding due to diverse variations in LRCs under different environmental conditions, as previous models were evaluated based on a limited number of leaf traits and a small number of LRCs. This study aimed to compare the performance of nine LRC models in fitting a set of 108 LRCs measured from paddy rice ( L.

This study systematically investigated the effect of organic solvent addition on the detection signal intensity of 15 organic pesticides in water using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS). The analysis of chromatographic peak area ratios in ultrapure water (UPW) versus 30% methanol (MeOH)-UPW showed that the adsorption effects (AEs, mainly from injection vials with weaker polarity) were the main factor influencing the detection intensity of the organic pesticides. The AEs varied with pesticide type and concentration, especially for those with high logK values and longer retention times, such as malathion, triadimefon, prometryn, S-metolachlor, diazinon, and profenofos.

Building on our previous studies, which have demonstrated that homochiral propagating species-(*,*)-[MeGa(-OCH(Me)COR)]-were crucial for the heteroselectivity of [MeGa(-OCH(Me)COMe)] in the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of racemic lactide (-LA), we have investigated the effect of alkyl groups on the structure and catalytic properties of dialkylgallium alkoxides in the ROP of -LA. Therefore, we have isolated and characterized the -[RGa(-OCH(Me)COMe] (R = Et (), Pr () and -[RGa(-OCH(Me)CHN] (R = Et (), Pr ()) complexes, to demonstrate the effect of alkyl groups on the chiral recognition induced the formation of the respective homochiaral species-(*,*)-[RGa(-OCH(Me)COMe)] and (*,*)-[RGa(-OCH(Me)CHN]. Moreover, we have investigated the structure of (,)-[RGa(-OCH(Me)COMe] (R = Et ((,)-, R = Pr ((,)-,) and their catalytic activity in the ROP of -LA.

Oseltamivir is a drug that has been widely used to prevent and treat influenza A and B. In this work, an ultrasensitive, simple, and novel electrochemiluminescence (ECL) sensor combined with molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP-ECL) based on a graphene-like two-dimensional material, Mxene quantum dots (MQDs) was constructed to selectively detect oseltamivir. A molecularly imprinted polymer membrane containing an oseltamivir template was constructed by electropolymerization and elution of modified MQDs on a glassy carbon electrode.

Inosine (IS) is a naturally occurring metabolite of adenosine with potent immunomodulatory effects. This study investigates the immunomodulatory effects of inosine, particularly its ability to inhibit the development of colorectal cancer (CRC) cells CT26 through modulation of macrophage phenotypes. Aside from the already reported effects of inosine on T cells, in this study, in vitro experiments revealed that inosine could modulate macrophage phenotype.

This study represents the first-time experimental analysis of lipophilicity for antidiabetic drugs from the gliflozin class using chromatographic methods alongside computational approaches. The lipophilicity of five gliflozins (canagliflozin (CANA), dapagliflozin (DAPA), empagliflozin (EMPA), ertugliflozin (ERTU), and sotagliflozin (SOTA)) was assessed using R and log k parameters with RP8, RP18, and CN coatings, while methanol and acetonitrile were used as organic modifiers. To enhance the reliability, six reference substances with established lipophilicity values (0.

Catalyzing hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is a key process in high-efficiency proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) devices. To replace the use of Pt-based HER catalyst, tungsten carbide (WC) is one of the most promising non-noble-metal-based catalysts with low cost, replicable catalytic performance, and durability. However, the preparation access to scalable production of WC catalysts is inevitable.

The present work reports the development, optimization, and validation, of a methodology to determine lidocaine, procaine, tetracaine, and benzocaine in urine matrices. Two extractive preconcentration techniques, solid-phase microextraction (SPME) LC Tips and bar adsorptive microextraction (BAμE), were studied and applied to the four target anesthetics, followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis. Several parameters that could affect microextraction and back-extraction were optimized using two different designs of experiments (Box-Behnken and full-factorial) to maximize extraction efficiency from aqueous media.

This study explores the low-temperature synthesis of graphene using plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), emphasizing the optimization of process parameters to achieve controlled growth of pristine and hydrogenated graphene. Graphene films were synthesized at temperatures ranging from 700 °C to as low as 400 °C by varying methane (25-100 sccm) and hydrogen (25-100 sccm) gas flow rates under 10-20 mBar pressures. Raman spectroscopy revealed structural transitions: pristine graphene grown at 700 °C exhibited strong 2D peaks with an I(2D)/I(G) ratio > 2, while hydrogenated graphene synthesized at 500 °C showed increased defect density with an I(D)/I(G) ratio of ~1.

Lactation is a complex physiological process regulated by numerous genes and factors. Circular RNA (circRNA), a non-coding RNA, acts as a molecular sponge that sequesters microRNAs (miRNAs) to regulate target gene expression. Although circRNA has been linked to mammary gland lactation, its specific role in yaks remains underexplored.
