Article Synopsis
  • MIB-1, a monoclonal antibody used for staining in the diagnosis of hyalinising trabecular tumor (HTT), faces challenges with manual staining methods that can lead to inconsistencies and false negatives.
  • This study aimed to evaluate if modern automated staining platforms could replicate the traditional staining patterns seen in HTT and assess how different conditions affect staining efficiency.
  • Results showed that while the Dako Autostainer Link 48 was the most stable option, other platforms like BenchMark ULTRA and Dako Omnis successfully reproduced the necessary staining under specific conditions, highlighting their potential for clinical use.

Objective: Although a large body of evidence has reported on surgical approaches for the treatment of unstable intertrochanteric femoral fractures, studies that comprehensively evaluate treatment outcomes are limited. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of extramedullary fixation (i.e.

Objective: To summarize recent findings on the association of low skeletal muscle mass and muscle quality with overall survival and recurrence-free survival in patients with pancreatic cancer.

Methods: A systematic search was conducted using Medline (via PubMed), Embase and Scopus databases for observational studies reporting on the overall survival and recurrence-free survival. Pooled effect sizes were reported as hazards ratio along with 95% confidence intervals.

Electronic address:

Posttranslational modifications (PTMs) of proteins, particularly acetylation, phosphorylation, and ubiquitination, play critical roles in the host innate immune response. PTMs' dynamic changes and the crosstalk among them are complicated. To build a comprehensive dynamic network of inflammation-related proteins, we integrated data from the whole-cell proteome (WCP), acetylome, phosphoproteome, and ubiquitinome of human and mouse macrophages.

Improvement of atropine on esophagogastric junction observation during sedative esophagogastroduodenoscopy.

PLoS One

September 2017

Department of Gastroenterology, the Second Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China.

Background And Study Aims: Although sedation esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) is now widely used, previous research has reported that sedation during EGD exhibits a negative effect on esophagogastric junction (EGJ) exposure. Atropine might improve EGJ exposure, as noted in clinical practice. The aim of this study was to examine whether sedation had a negative effect on EGJ observation in the Chinese population, and whether atropine had some ability to act as an antidote to this unexpected secondary effect of sedation.
