The global landscape of professional training in environmental health, encompassing ecological public health or environmental public health, lacks consistent global implementation for training programs for public health practitioners, clinical professionals, and individuals across various disciplines, as well as standardized curricula for undergraduates. This training gap is related to the overall lack of capacity in addressing the population impacts of the triple challenge of pollution, biodiversity loss, and climate change, impeding the worldwide transition to and development of ecological sustainability. This paper reviews existing approaches and their potential to address implementation challenges within the necessarily tight timescale.

Background: Electronic standard order sets automate the ordering of specific treatment, testing, and investigative protocols by physicians. These tools may help reduce unwarranted clinical variation and improve health care efficiency. Despite their routine implementation within electronic medical records (EMRs), little is understood about how they are used and what factors influence their adoption in practice.

Background: The content and delivery of a health professions' curriculum is often regarded as 'intuitive' and 'self-defining', based on commonly encountered professional roles, detailed knowledge of human structure, function and pathology, and opportunities to acquire necessary clinical and communication skills. However, a curriculum tends to develop, sometimes in unexpected ways, due to scientific advances, changes in teaching faculty and variations in clinical placement experience. Trends come and go, often without careful scrutiny and evaluation.

Students often struggle to apply their knowledge of bioscience to their care practice. Such knowledge is generally learned through remembering and understanding, but retention quickly fades. They also experience difficulty progressing to higher-order cognitive skills such as applying, analyzing, evaluating, and even creating, which are necessary to develop soft skills, such as critical thinking, in the care profession.

Brain injuries can significantly impact mental processes and lead to hidden disabilities not easily detectable. School of Psychology, University of Adelaide, Adelaide, Australia.
Background: Parents exposed to psychosocial adversities often experience challenges which, combined with the needs of a new-born infant, can be difficult to manage and increase the risk of poor outcomes for both parents and infants. Psychosocial adversity can disrupt the development of parental-foetal attachment to the baby during pregnancy, which can have a negative effect on parental care and quality of interaction during the postnatal period. This intervention is based on the proposition that enhanced parental capacity to mentalise and emotionally connect to unborn children during pregnancy, and better understanding about how to manage distressing infant behaviour (i.
