The study tested the effectiveness of Stepping Stones Triple P (SSTP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for addressing behavioral issues in children with cerebral palsy (CP).
A total of 67 parents, mostly mothers, participated, with their children aged around 5, and were assigned to different treatment groups to evaluate outcomes related to behavior and parenting styles.
Results showed significant reductions in behavioral problems and improved parenting styles for those receiving SSTP, with additional benefits observed when combined with ACT; improvements were maintained even after six months.
