Background: The shortage of health workers in rural and remote areas is a key issue for global health systems, including China. Public health undertakings in Northeast China face the risk of a talent gap. In September 2023, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) held a symposium on promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the New Era, proposing to support the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China with high-quality population development, strengthen the development and utilization of human resources, and increase policy support for the revitalization of talent.

To study a new method for establishing animal models of prenatal bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), we used lung ultrasound score (LUS) to semi-quantitatively assess the severity of lung lesions in model rats. Lipopolysaccharide (LPS) was injected into the right lung of the fetus of the rat under ultrasound-guided, and the right lung of the neonates were scanning for LUS. Specimens were collected for pathological scoring and detection of pulmonary surfactant-associated glycoprotein (SP)-C and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression quantity.

Background And Objectives: The aim of this study is to assess and examine the risk variables associated with pulmonary infections in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and to offer evidence-based recommendations for clinical prophylaxis.
Methods: Up to December 2023, database such as CNKI, Wanfang, VIP Chinese Science and Technology Journals, Chinese Biomedical, Pubmed, Web of science, and the Cochrane library were searched in order to find randomized controlled trials pertaining to non-small cell lung cancer complicated by pulmonary infection. The NOS scale was utilized to assess the quality of the included research, and the Q test findings were utilized to ascertain the degree of heterogeneity among the studies.

Summary: Utilizing the Mendelian randomization technique, this research clarifies the putative causal relationship between body mass index (BMI) andbone mineral density (BMD), and the mediating role of low-density lipoprotein (LDL). The implications of these findings present promising opportunities for enhancing our understanding of complex bone-related characteristics and disorders, offering potential directions for treatment and intervention.
Objective: The objective of this study is to examine the correlation between BMI and BMD, while exploring the intermediary role of LDL in mediating the causal impact of BMI on BMD outcomes via Mendelian randomization.

This research sought to delineate risk factors associated with surgical site infections (SSIs) post-total knee arthroplasty (post-TKA) in elderly osteoarthritis patients, aiming to enhance post-surgical outcomes. A retrospective examination was conducted on a cohort of 650 elderly patients who underwent unilateral TKA between January 2018 and August 2022. Data procurement was from the hospital's Electronic Health Record, and a comprehensive statistical evaluation was performed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 24.

We present a camera-based human body parameters measurement approach and develop a human postural assessment system. The approach combines the conventional contact measurement method and the non-contact measurement method to overcome some shortcomings in terms of time, expense, and professionalism in early methods. The entire measurement system consists of a computer, a high-definition camera, and the sticky points that are applied to the participant's body before the measurement.

Acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion refers to a blockage in the blood flow of one of the major blood vessels in the anterior (front) part of the brain. Acute anterior circulation large vessel occlusion can lead to a range of symptoms, including sudden headache, difficulty speaking or understanding speech, weakness or numbness on one side of the body and loss of vision in one eye. According to relevant data, mechanical thrombectomy in the treatment of the large vessel recanalization rate can reach 70%.

Cardiac fibrosis is an important pathological process in many diseases. Wdr5 catalyzes the trimethylation of lysine K4 on histone H3. The effects of Wdr5 on the cardiac fibrosis phenotype and the activation or transformation of cardiac fibroblasts were investigated by Ang-II-infused mice by osmotic mini-pump and isolated primary neonatal rat cardiac fibroblasts.

Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) consists of a group of hematologic tumors that are derived from the clonal proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells, featuring abnormal hematopoietic cell development and ineffective hematopoiesis. Animal models are an important scientific research platform that has been widely applied in the research of human diseases, especially tumors. Animal models with MDS can simulate characteristic human genetic variations and tumor phenotypes.

Introduction: The narrowband chirp (NB Chirp), a frequency-specific sound stimulus signal obtained by limiting the frequency bandwidth based on chirp, is applied to the frequency specified auditory brainstem response (fsABR) increasingly. Although some studies demonstrated that NB Chirp-evoked auditory brainstem response (NB Chirp ABR) causes a better neural response than tone burst-evoked auditory brainstem response and is preferred for fsABR, there is little known about how to better estimate an individual's hearing level through the threshold of NB Chirp ABR. The present study intended to compare the accuracy and deviation of NB Chirp ABR corrected by different approaches in estimating the hearing level of people with normal hearing.

To discuss the clinical effect of small dose of botulinum toxin injection in cricothyroid muscle and thyroarytenoid muscle on patients with incomplete bilateral recurrent laryngeal nerve paresis. Six patients were selected with Ⅰor Ⅱ or Ⅲ degree of dyspnea diagnosed as bilateral recurrent laryngeal nerve injury by laryngeal electromyography, and small dose of botulinum toxin injection was performed in cricothyroid muscle and thyroarytenoid muscle as a treatment. Degree of dyspnea was assessed one month before and after the treatment, and the stroboscopic laryngoscope results, acoustic parameters and CT image of the patients were collected in the 6 patients.

Deficiency of the organs is a vital pathophysiologic characteristic in the elderly. A core TCM aging theory is known as aging caused by spleen deficiency syndrome (SDS) that can be found in ancient and modern literature. The key objectives of this study were to establish a full-scale trial to evaluate the prevalence, symptom severity, frequency, and distribution of SDS in different age groups as related to health status (healthy, subhealthy, and chronic disease) to elucidate the role of spleen deficiency in the aging process and deterioration of health status.
