The current research work reports the synthesis of three 4-((3-arylthiazolo[3,4-]isoxazol-5-yl)amino)benzene sulfonamide derivatives with a thaizaole(3,4-)isoxazole-based fused ring heterocyclic system. The synthesized and characterized derivatives, namely, 4-(3-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)thiazolo[3,4-]soxazole-5-ylamino)benzenesulfonamide (YM-1), 4-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)isoxazolo[3,4-]thiazol-5-ylamino)benzenesulfonamide (YM-2), and 4-(3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)isoxazolo[3,4-]thiazol-5-ylamino)benzenesulfonamide (YM-3) were further explored for their binding interactions with DNA and enzymes (urease and carbonic anhydrase). Cytotoxicity of these derivatives for both healthy (HEK-293) and cancerous (MG-U87) cells was determined by MTT analysis.

The study focuses on the instability of local linear convective flow in an incompressible boundary layer caused by a rough rotating disk in a steady MHD flow of viscous nanofluid. Miklavčič and Wang's (Miklavčič and Wang, 2004) [9] MW roughness model are utilized in the presence of MHD of Cu-water nanofluid with enforcement of axial flows. This study will investigate the instability characteristics with the MHD boundary layer flow of nanofluid over a rotating disk and incorporate the effects of axial flow with anisotropic and isotropic surface roughness.

Herein, a ZrO added α-FeO photoanode that can split water at low applied potential is reported. First, the pristine hematite α-FeO photoanode was synthesized using an aerosol-assisted chemical vapour deposition (AACVD) method followed by modification with various amounts of ZrO (2 to 40%) in the form of thin films on conducting glass substrate. The XRD, Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analyses confirmed the presence of the monoclinic phase of ZrO in the composites with multifaceted particles of compact morphology.

In this study, we investigate the flow of electrically conducting hybrid nanofluid , due to rotating disks, along with thermal slip, heat generation, and viscous dissipation. The nonlinear differential system is modelled and transformed into dimensionless partial differential equations using suitable dimensionless variables. To obtain solutions for the considered model, a finite difference toolkit is implemented, and numerical solutions are achieved.

Article Synopsis
  • The research examines entropy generation in a 2D magneto Williamson hybrid nanofluid flow that incorporates cobalt ferrite and titanium oxide nanoparticles, influenced by surface-catalyzed reactions.
  • It addresses the effects of factors like joule heating, viscous dissipation, thermal stratification, and thermal radiation, while transforming the problem into a dimensionless system of equations for analysis.
  • The study utilizes numerical solutions through MATLAB's bvp4c technique, comparing results with existing literature and finding that increased homogeneous reaction strength and surface-catalyzed parameters reduce concentration fields and affect velocity distribution.

Engineering Mathematics and Physics Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Future University in Egypt, 11835 New Cairo, Egypt.

Introduction: Flow dynamics due to the peristaltic pumping has been the topic of great interest for the researchers. But numerical and analytical analyses for the peristaltic motion are limited where flow domain is deformed real-time. Research on peristalsis has a limitation where theoretical aspects of walls motion are considered, neglecting the real time deformation of the walls.

The current work describes the challenging introduction of a vinyl sulfide group by simple C-H activation on a variety of substrates. The direct C-H activation of indoles with β-()-styrene sulfonyl hydrazides under the sulfenylation conditions, assisted by the iodic catalyst -butyl ammonium iodide (TBAI), afforded a series of ()-styrylthioindoles. Accordingly, β-()-styrene sulfonyl hydrazides undergo radical cross-coupling reactions with a variety of substituted indoles to afford structurally diverse indole vinyl thioethers in moderate to high yields with -stereoselectivity.
