Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Shanghai Pudong Hospital, Fudan University Pudong Medical Center, 2800 Gongwei Road, Pudong, Shanghai, 201399, China.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a common malignant tumor with a complex immune evasion mechanism posing a challenge to treatment. The role of the S100A10 gene in various cancers has garnered significant attention. This study aims to elucidate the impact of S100A10 on CD8 T cell exhaustion via the cPLA2 and 5-LOX axis, thereby elucidating its role in immune evasion in HCC.

Mitochondria are important for the activation of endothelial cells and the process of angiogenesis. NDUFS8 (NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase core subunit S8) is a protein that plays a critical role in the function of mitochondrial Complex I. We aimed to investigate the potential involvement of NDUFS8 in angiogenesis.

SLC38A5 promotes glutamine metabolism and inhibits cisplatin chemosensitivity in breast cancer.

Breast Cancer

January 2024

Department of General Surgery, QingPu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, QingPu District Central Hospital Shanghai, No. 1158, Gong Yuan Dong Road, Shanghai, 201700, China.

Background: Solute carrier family 38 member 5 (SLC38A5), as an amino acid transporter, play a vital role in cellular biological processes. In this study, we analyzed the function of SLC38A5 and its potential mechanism in breast cancer (BC) progression.

Methods: The expression of SLC38A5 in cancer and adjacent-normal tissues was analyzed by qRT-PCR and Western blot, and its correlation with patient prognosis was analyzed.

EGCG alleviates obesity-exacerbated lung cancer progression by STAT1/SLC7A11 pathway and gut microbiota.

J Nutr Biochem

October 2023

Department of Nutrition, Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai, China; Department of Nutrition, QingPu District Central Hospital, Shanghai, China. Electronic address:

Leptin is a nutritional cytokine, and it is closely related to the progression of cancer. However, the detailed effect of leptin in lung cancer remains poorly known. We found leptin-induced A549 cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, which was reversed by epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) from green tea.

Use of minimally invasive cerclage wiring for displaced major fragments of femoral shaft fractures after intramedullary nailing promotes bone union and a functional outcome.

December 2022

Department of Orthopedics, Qingpu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Qingpu District Central Hospital Shanghai, No. 1158, East Gongyuan Road, Qingpu District, 201700, Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

Background: Femoral shaft fractures caused by high energy trauma can be very challenging due to the large variability in fracture morphology and poor functional outcomes. Displaced major fragments of femoral shaft fractures are difficult to manage after closed reduction and intramedullary nailing (IMN). The minimally invasive cerclage wiring (CW) procedure has become an optimal tool for major fragment resetting and stabilization after IMN.

Role of C5a and C5aR in doxorubicin-induced cardiomyocyte senescence.

Exp Ther Med

October 2021

Department of Outpatients, Shenzhen Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Guangdong Shenzhen Health Management Center, Shenzhen, Guangdong 518033, P.R. China.

Doxorubicin (DOX) is an efficacious antineoplastic drug; however, its use is limited due to its cardiotoxicity. Cardiomyocyte senescence is considered to be a key factor in the development of DOX-related cardiomyopathy. Complement component 5a (C5a) and the C5a receptor (C5aR) have been reported to play a key role in the process of cellular senescence.

External fixation via the anterior inferior iliac spine for proximal femoral fractures in young patients.

Open Med (Wars)

August 2021

Department of Orthopedics, QingPu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, QingPu District Central Hospital Shanghai, Shanghai, 201700, People's Republic of China.

Background And Aim: Acute treatment of young patients with proximal femoral fracture (PFF) remains a challenge for trauma surgeons due to major fracture displacement and heavy pain in clinical practice. Traditional methods have a variety of intrinsic defaults and cannot successfully manage the requirements of young patients. Benefiting from our anatomic research, we explored a new method of external fixation for this specific trauma and evaluated its feasibility and clinical outcomes.

Background: H type hypertension is defined as homocysteine (Hcy) ≥ 10 μmol/L in combination with primary hypertension. Studies demonstrated that the existence of hyperhomocysteine (HHcy) in hypertensive exacerbates the poor outcome of cardiocerebral incidents. This study was to investigate the current epidemic situation of H type hypertension and determine the risk factors in order to find intervention targets for H type hypertensives.

Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes inhibit migration and invasion of breast cancer cells via miR-21-5p/ZNF367 pathway.

Breast Cancer

July 2021

Department of General Surgery, QingPu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, QingPu District Central Hospital Shanghai, No.1158, Gong Yuan Dong Road , Shanghai, 201700, China.

Background: Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes (hucMSC-exos) exhibit various roles in breast cancer development. The molecular mechanisms underlying hucMSC-exos in breast cancer cells are not fully clear. In the current study, we set out to investigate the downstream signaling pathways of hucMSC-exos in MCF-7 cells, a commonly used cell line to study breast cancer.

Introduction: Acute exacerbation (AE) is a major cause of disease progression and death in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), accounting for majority of medical expenditures. Correct inhalation therapy is effective in preventing AE attacks. However, inappropriate usage of dry powder inhaler, partially due to the unrecovered peak inhalation flow rate (PIFR) after acute exacerbation of COPD (AECOPD), results in increased risk of early treatment failure.

Clinical outcomes of blood transfusion to patients with pelvic fracture in the initial 6 h from injury.

Exp Ther Med

March 2020

Department of Orthopedics, QingPu Branch of Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, Qingpu District Central Hospital of Shanghai, Shanghai 201700, P.R. China.

As part of the treatment of pelvic fracture, major hemorrhage poses a challenge for trauma surgeons. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of blood transfusion in the initial 6 h after pelvic fracture, and to define the blood transfusion volume required for each pelvic fracture type. A retrospective cohort study was performed on patients with pelvic fracture at a single Level I Trauma Centre over a 3-year period.

Clinical treatment of chronic deep venous insufficiency remains difficult despite the availability of various therapies. Previous experimental efforts have demonstrated that the tissue-engineered valvedvenous conduit (TEVV) is a promising option to replace the damaged venous valve. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the TEVV by reseeding bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cells and multipotent adult progenitor cells into acellular matrix according to International Standard ISO10993, and to clarify their interactions with blood, the local effect after implantation both in vitro and vivo, and immunogenicity.
